  1. ok so just on a whim i tried the "not most recent" bios like i did the first time. I tried the flash with 7B85v26 version of the bios. (which mentions 5000 series in the description) power cycled the computer after the flashback bios install. cleared the cmos now it posts! yay, so maybe something was wrong with the latest bios, like it was a patch to a previous instead of the whole package.
  2. this mobo has the flashback bios update ability (new feature on newer motherboards) only needs power to mobo, no cpu or ram required.
  3. I tried the bios update on the previous mobo, even with a cmos clear i still got the same CPU_debug light on the mobo.
  4. Im lost, I bought some upgrades for my wifes computer. Assembled everything new CPU, RAM, NVME m.2, and old ssd. powered on, got RGB everywhere, no post from gpu, or igpu. tried flashing the bios and still same issue, no post at all. Returned that mobo thinking it was defective. got replacement and before installing everything tried mobo only. no post, added cpu, no post. still get rgb and cpu debug light, (no ram debug, even though ram is not installed). AMD ryzen 5 5600G MSI b450 pro carbon max wifi 2x 16gb corsair 3000mhz vengence RGB pro samsung 970 evo plus 500gb corsair cx550m power supply. display connected via hdmi (works just fine on other pc) mobo has 2 cpu power connectors 8pin and cpu2 4pin. power supply has a 4+4 connector, tried both as 8pin and as 4pin. both ways i get rgb but NO POST. I should be able to get a post some way. I havent tried much since the 2nd board has done the same as the first.
  5. Toshiba laptop with Win95, still boots. Also has external floppy drive, docking station. touchmouse still works.
  6. This laptop is possibly older than i am (i was born in 1982). This laptop belonged to my grandmother and my dad being in IT just kept it around. He passed away 2 years ago so i cant ask him anymore info on it. It still boots, but no clue how to navigate it past this page. The battery pack is still there but it swollen and not usable. I have a 2nd laptop that will be in another post.
