  1. Recently I´ve bought a tech-lot filled with cool things including a really cool Nvidia Quadro graphics card and a also very cool (but old) intel Lan card with a PCI-X connector and some other goodies. Now I wanted to build a retro pc out of the parts I´ve got. I only need a mobo and a CPU, but I have no idea what mobo I should get. Requirements: PCI-X connector for the lan card AGP connector for the Graphics card Regular PCI connector for sound card Sata (if possible) but IDE should work fine also CPU socket does not matter (I will then just buy a fitting CPU) Power connectors ATX (if possible) Please comment if you know one Thanks
  2. So recently I got my hands on an Intel Xeon e5 1680v2 for really cheap...the only problem is that I wasnt able so far to find a compatible mobo. The only ones im finding are old server boards wich need proprietary psus or ones that dont (or have minimal) IO on them, the thing is that i wanted to use it as a "workstation"...If anybody knows about such a mobo please tell me !!! I dont want to use one of these sketchy chinese ones !!!
  3. yeah I already thought about that the thing is that the mobo is from 2013 and the bios is already up to date...but I havnt thought about if it would have enough bandwidth...need to investigate further... but thanks for the tip
  4. the Problem is not with my wifi dongle it is with any other usb 3.0 device...and btw if I plug a usb 2.0 stick into it it works flawlessly
  5. it is an usb wifi adapter but my wifi turns itself of when I plug it another usb 3.0 stick
  6. Hey so recently I got this problem that whenever I plug an USB 3.0 stick into my front USB 3.0 header my wifi turns itselfs off(use a usb wifi stick)...The thing is I´m pretty good at building PCs and I already tried multiple things like changing cables for the USB hub or setting my CPU back to ist original clocks but I just cant figure it out... My system: Intel Xeon e5 1650 v2 (OC to 4ghz all cores) Asrock X79 extreme 4 16 gb ddr3 1866mhz patriot viper msi rx 580 8gb 630 w BeQuiet psu
