Earthsam

so I've had Logitech g230 headsets for a year i believe and just yesterday i sat down to play some games with my friends and no-one could hear me, and if they could it was very distorted and static. so i went to discord voice playback and sure enough the audio coming through was either non existent or completely inaudible. i did some troubleshooting and found that the mute switch would not do anything, it would just stay muted UNLESS you messed around with it where you'd get the static noise. after messing with it way too much i got it to stay unmuted but the entire inline volume and mute box had to remain undisturbed or else it would throw it off. i took off the plastic switch to look inside and the internal switch is fine from what i can see so the problem appears to be either under the switch or somewhere else in the box. i'm just looking for a way to keep it reliably unmuted without having to leave it undisturbed. any help is appreciated. i have a warranty on it but I really don't want to go through that mess. once again any and all help is greatly appreciated. EDIT: i messed around with it more and i believe its a problem with the cable connection to the inline box.
