  1. Yeah, but I found a huge difference in responsiveness from my old m.2 ssd which ran somewhere around 1000mb/s It runs at 3500mb/s read and 3100mb/s write.
  2. So i've decided to upgrade my boot drive cause im running out of storage and i've decided to go with a SN850 500GB and have seen that it is INSANELY fast and runs off GEN 4.0 but im not entirely sure if my motherboard can actually support those speeds My motherboard is the Z170 Pro Gaming https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/
  3. Yeah, I recently got more money to spend on a drive so I decided to settle on a SN850. Would I be able to use the whole speed?
  4. So i've decided to upgrade my boot drive cause im running out of storage and i've decided to go with a m.2 sata ssd because im not willing to spend too much, however I need to know if my motherboard can support m.2 sata. My motherboard is a Z170 Pro Gaming https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/#:~:text=Intel Z170 Express is a,Pentium®%2FCeleron® processors.&text=Additionally%2C Z170 provides a maximum, support for faster data retrieval.
  5. So, i've upgraded my gpu lately and my current psu doesn't have enough power anymore, so im trying to get a RM 1000x and have seen it's a little longer than the standard. Would this still fit? 6. Could the optical drive ribbon cable be the cause?
  7. I'm able to turn it on using the controller and then hear 3 continuous beeps. This loops until unplugged. I was changing the thermal paste and this issue occured. Any idea how to fix it?
  8. Do you think replacing the thermal paste may help at all?
  9. I don't know how to check if it's all gunked up since im not experienced enough however it used to be cooling pretty well after I applied my previous paste.
  10. Pump speed is always at 2.2k - 2.3k rpm
  11. Yeah i think it's a couple years old since i got it used but i'll check that out with the seller. According to the description is was left unused for a while.
  12. What exactly do you mean by voltage then? Also I've remounted the cooler and have gone up to 86 degrees, is this to do with air bubbles and may I have to reapply thermal paste?
  13. Well ive remounted it and I'll see if it helps
