  1. So I reseated my RAM sticks because I was having issues with my PC, now everytime i power on my PC, the fans spins for a second, then turn off, then the PC turns on and boots properly.... Should I be concerned? Is it a problem?
  2. thankyou for the answers ya'll maybe its just a faulty battery, or something is draining the battery (probably the motorcycle's anti theft alarm).. kinda wack the motorcycle doesnt have a voltmeter in it...
  3. Kinda off topic but also kinda tech related. My motorcycle's battery got drained... I didnt use it for about 4 days. It's never happened before (even with me not using it for a long time). This is the first time it drained liked that. I did forgot that I had a cable plugged in the USB port. Does a USB cable on its own draw power? I'm sure it doesnt draw that much but maybe its because I left it plugged on for months that it finally drained my battery lol
  4. idk sadly and as for the cables, I have Cat5e, i bought a 100m long roll online and used it to do network in the home since the router is downstairs and my room is upstairs... I was think that maybe my router (i have my own router in my room) is the bottleneck since it is a 100mbps router, but i tried speedtesting with a laptop connected to the modem itself, and its still the same... maybe its as the comment above said... maybe it is the modem itself since it is an old router...
  5. It's so weird... We pay the same amount (2000 Pesos -- around $40 US) but for SOME REASON they have faster internet. He showed me his bill before and yeah we have the same plan... I also checked my ISPs plan offers and for his speeds, the plan starts at (5000 Pesos -- around $50 US)... So we have the same play but for some reason HIS is faster... My friend told me that maybe since we were the first to have fiber in the area, we ended up getting an old line (we've been with the ISP for 10 years). And since my friends got a connection 4 years ago, they got connected to a "better line" It's BS (but understandable) that they'd give the new lines to newer customers, but why didnt they call their loyal customers about a "better line moveover..." I may be a dummy so does someone have a logical explanation? side note: we renewed our plan back in november 2022, we were promised a 200mbps speed increase for 2 months.... it never arrived (this happens normally -- ive known people who never got their speeds. and those that did get it had to waste hours of calling the isp for weeks just to get what they were promised to be rolled out...) I'm a video editor and some of my clients send a ton of large video files that take forever to download... My friend's speeds VS my speeds
  6. Did nothing. I'll try that later also this appears when I try to initialize it
  7. i tried command prompt to list disk and it SOMETIMES shows the disk but the moment i try to do something it says it doesnt exist i also tried to install windows on it, maybe I can do the formatting there... it shows on the list BUT says 0MB I'll try doing what you told me right now brb
  8. I've been going at this for hours. Installed a lot of drive partition software things just to get this working. No luck. Now Im desperate... This is a new SSD (WD Green 240GB) that I told her to buy for her very old laptop... Returning it is impossible because the period is over (and quite frankly returning would be a hassle cause its takes at least 6 months with how ineffeicient this country is)
  9. oh thank god well at least im happy with my color calibration now. I found someone who had really amazing OSD settings for my Kamvas 22 Plus. and its 100x better than the previous one i found
  10. I have no clue about color calibration and how these stuff should be done. I found a video online that lets me color calibrate using my phone and I'm happy with it now. Colors are not close to what I see on my phone (which is color accurate according to reviews) But my confusion starts here... I have a Kamvas 22 Plus that has "140% sRGB coverage" and I found online that DCI-P3 has more colors. And from the charts i see online on how much color each color space covers, does it mean that 140% sRGB SHOULD cover close to the same amount of color that DCI-P3 has (or at least a little bit beyond sRGB range)? and if so, is there a way to calibrate my monitor so that it can be more like the DCI-P3 color space (or is that a hardware limitation at that point -- meaning im stuck with just sRGB)?? I have another question again. This time involving photoshop (or clip studio paint). In the software you can change your ICC right? I found someone's ICC profile for the Kamvas 22 Plus that is (from what i can tell from the comments) color accurate. Do I have to also select the same ICC profile in Clip Studio when doing work?? or is the default fine? (the default in Clip Studio is sRGB) Sorry. I have no clue how color calibration works
  11. I have so many USB devices and will be adding/replacing more in the future Currently what I have plugged in on the back is (each point is its own USB port): USB Microphone Wireless mouse cable ( the receiver comes with an adapter so i dont need to plug it in its own port) Wireless keyboard charging cable Wireless keyboard's reciever Speakers (only for power tho) Drawing tablet Wireless headphone reciever wireless heaphone charging cable Is it safe to use all my back USB ports or should I just get a hub? (if latter, should i get a powered or unpowered hub?)
  12. thanks for the suggestions... but those prices gave me a stroke. i'll try out these cheapo ones first, and if i hate them, imma give them to a friend and then save up for those.
  13. This the monitor arm (arms?) im buying i currently have a 24 inch and 16 inch LCD generic monitor (samsung and LG respectively), though i do plan on replacing my 16 inch monitor with ViewSonic's XG2705-2K and use that as my main monitor then turn the samsung as my secondary display. I originall planned on getting 2 seperate arms but that is too expensive. So I thought of getting this isntead. But since these 2 arms are connecting to one single point, maybe the plywood cant handle it. And I will also be moving it a lot since I have a display tablet for drawing/animation that has its own stand for adjustment during sessions (basically whenever I draw/animate, i'll adjust the main monitor up so I can still see it)
  14. I've managed to get a power supply (12v 10amps) and my tablet works fine... Though it looks jank as hell. Should I get a case for it or is this fine? I was thinking maybe a tupperware and then just punch some holes on it for ventilation and the wires
  15. yeah, sadly theres no ground connection here its not a thing in this country. and the unstable electricity doesnt help too. that why I have that beefy UPS
  16. very imformative, thanks! one thing im concerned about is... Is my tablet gonna be okay after all that? Im sure i didnt plug it in during my cable management (thats when i noticed that leaks), but im kind of forgetful and now im paranoid.
  17. plugged to the wall but like i said, everything was unplugged when I did the cable management
  18. it came with the tablet i bought, Huion Kamvas 22 Plus... they probably just have a bad supplier
  19. im sure it happened today, cause it was working just fine yesterday and i did say i heard a boom while downstairs eating lunch... but like i said, everything was unplugged during that time, i was still trying to organize the cables before plugging them in
  20. so you're saying it leaked long ago, and then shorted from those leaks?
  21. I was thinking maybe it popped previously so I checked the original table that i used if it had burns, there were none. And it was working fine just yesterday. Im glad I decided not to opened my PC all day because I waited for my table to arrive and went outside for a while... Also Im sure it was unplugged cause i took out all the cables and let them through 1 by 1, and I had a UPS that was turned off and unplugged (and had nothing plugged to it) But im paranoid and hoping for the best. If i did ever leave it plugged when it exploded, is there a chance it damaged my tablet? I dont smell any burns on the tablet so maybe its fine??
  22. I was doing some cable management because I got a new custom desk made. Everything was unplugged. Then I felt liquid that felt like oil to the touch. I ignored it for a while. After finishing up and plugged everything, my display tablet (Huion Kamvas 22+) didnt light up. Then I noticed its power brick was covered with that oil stuff. This is weird to me cause, it wasnt even plugged in.... I did hear an explosion in my room while i was having lunch down stairs... but i ignored it cause like i said everything was unplugged...
