Hi people,
Here is my a bit "interesting situation".
My current Setup:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
PSU Dark Power Pro P11 750W (BN252)
GPU: ASUS GTX 1080TI FE
RAM: G.Skill DDR416 GB, 3200MHz
Board: Asus PRIME X470-PRO
And here is a thing, I want to put inside
GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ventus OC 3X
I understand my current PSU should work fine,
BUT! I want to keep inside also my 1080ti. Im using software called Aster, so 2 people can use 1 PC at once. I can assign 1GPU to one workstation and another to second.
1) In this case I don't know if that PSU is enough, and how much more will be needed?
"Bigger" PSU are much more expensive.
2) So maybe I can just use another "smaller" PSU and attach it to the 1080, since like good 450 psu is about 1/4 price of good 1000 psu?
I did it in 2011+- (see attachment) and worked well for couple of days, when I was waiting for next PSU, I was young and i ran out of power cables
Also this second I can turn on only when needed, don't have to run all the time.
But should I do it?
