  1. Full disclosure. I've been a Mac guy since late 90's. Back then my job (video editor/2d compositor) kind of required the use of macs as I couldn't afford a turnkey avid. My company won't get off Apple so they bought me a new iMac Pro for the house. But I want my personal stuff to switch to PC. So... for my first build I want to make a windows based HTPC. Was thinking Ryzen 7 (waiting to see what the new chips look like). But I'm stuck on a GFX card. I'm not a PC gamer. I play usually a handful of PS games a year but wouldn't mind hopping on some good titles to play on my 65" Sony living room TV with this machine. I don't care about competitive fps. I usually play story mode only on games. Budget isn't really a concern, but I obviously don't want to trade my liver (it's well used) for something I don't really need. Any thoughts on what would be a decent middle of the road card I won't have to worry about for a few years? Thinking of putting the build off until the end of the year and seeing what big navi has in store, but am 100% open to suggestions from people vastly more knowledgeable than I. Thanks, advres
