  1. Sounds not good for me O_o My old Graphics card is already gone and if i need to replace the RTX 3080 it i will have no Pc for quite some time xO (MSI Ventus 3x RTX 3080) Just as an status update: I switched from my thermaltake 700w PSU to an Corsair RM850x. You might have guessed it... nothing changed. Still crashing after 5-15 minutes of playing (Without the downclock of 50 MHz).
  2. I searched it up but it was literally only the sentence @Apington mentioned. On the MSI Main channel.
  3. Feels a bit strange that nvidia is deleting the posts on the offical reddit
  4. Mhm strange thing still is that downclocking by -50 resolves the issue. I am definitely not an expert and it still might be the power supply, but -50 MHz downclock doesent seem so much less that the power supply is suddenly enough for the card.
  5. Okay already thought about testing it with two Power supplies (1 for the graphics card one for the Rest of the system) just to verify the solution. But now i will just wait for the next drivers ...
  6. This is what someone mentioned on reddit. I am using one cable with two 8-pins. But i think its bullshit because i found nothing confirming this theorie in the internet (Searched for 8 pin two cables vs one): "As other mentionned, you need to use 2 seperate 8 pins cable (not the 2 connector from the same cable) in order to properly power the GPU. Your 2070 super might not have pulled enough power for you to notice any issues with 1 single cable (I believe it's rated at 215W). But those new cards (3000 series) are power hungry. Usually, 1 x 8 pins can provide around 150W and the PCIe slot provides around 75 - 80W of power. Since the RTX 3080 has been tested to pull up to around 350W under load, you definitely need both 8 pins and a good Power supply to avoid any issues. Your 2070 super was probably OK with 1x8pins + PCIe since it wouldve been pulling 200ish watts in most use case."
  7. As usual the question which power supply But i am getting hope that it´s simply a driver issue.
  8. Here are one post on reddit and one on the nvidia forum with quite some comments regarding this issue: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/geforce-graphics-cards/5/398910/new-rtx-3080-hitching-and-crashing-across-all-titl/
  9. Thermaltake Smart RGB - 700W With an Amd 2600. I would think that this is defnetly enough. And it seems like many users have this problem even with better psus. (Correct me if i am wrong . Sorry for the spelling errors but my german autocorrection ist driving me crazy typing english)
  10. Same Problem Here with a Ventus 3x Msi. Tested with Control and Assassin's Creed Odyssey. The Game Freezes after a Shorts amount of time. You can only Close or by going into your Task Manager. I also have Sometimes the Error "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered" hoping there ist a real fix soon (Will try downclocking this evening)
