  1. The install media creation tool doesn't seem to allow for windows 10 Enterprise, which is the only key I own. What do you suggest? And the disc was created a little over a year ago.
  2. So for my new build I'm using an install disc. I'm doing this instead of a fresh copy of Windows 10 on a flash drive because the install disc is for Windows 10 Enterprise. So the question is: Do I install updates before drivers; or drivers before updates. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for clarifying. But besides VRM and the chipset, what constitutes a "good board"? I went looking for insights from reviews, but all I seem to find are thermal charts and features lists.
  4. Is a motherboard's thermal performance an indicator of it's overall quality?
  5. Well if we're getting all philosophical I guess I should point out no-one knows how many years they have left in them, so best to live for the day, eh?
  6. Yeah I doubt it will be a worthy upgrade from zen 2, but I'm upgrading from a Xeon 1231 e3 so it's pretty exciting for me.
  7. Well I'll be upgrading from a 3600(or zen 3 equivalent) so I'll already have the hyper 212 BE.
  8. Just out of curiosity which coolers would you suggest? Price point-wise, I need to know what to add to the overall budget when I go ahead and buy the 3900x. Thanks.
  9. Well I was wondering if I should actually be thinking a bigger/better cooler for the 3900x. If so which? Should I be thinking AIO? Or I am ok with the Prism/hyper 212 if I don't OC?
  10. I don't plan to OC for a while, I will already own the hyper 212 because I'm buying it for the 3600. I just want to know when I get the cash to upgrade. Thanks!
  11. I'll look into the cooler. I have a hard time trusting PSUs. I trust seasonic so will prob stick with them. And I know I can save some cash with a cheaper case, but I really like the Meshify C
  12. yeah agreed, when the zen 3 chips hit the market I plan to swap them out assuming they are worth it.

My budget is ~$1300. I'll be using it mainly for gaming and PS. 14. So I'm building a new PC for the 3070, but am using my old Fractal Design Arc case to save money (not to mention I love it). It's 5 years old, but the four 140 fans mounted within are running fine. My question is: Should I just replace all fans, or just maybe buy an extra and deal with fan failures as they come? Is there a rule of thumb here, or am I over-thinking it? Thanks!
  15. Yeah and I'm struggling with the 30w and $20 for 0.2 GHz
  16. I thought of that actually, they are close in price.
  17. Right, forgot the extra fans. That ram looks promising.

I realize the mATX mobo may look a bit silly in that case but I'm looking for value not aesthetics. If you see somewhere I can squeeze more value without sacrificing performance, please let me know.
