  1. Hello there! I know there's many different topics online about this issue, but none have yet to resolve my problem. I have dialed back and forth on drivers, plugged the headset on different lines, entered the Realtek console... nothing as of yet. The issue seems kind of simple, which makes it even more weird. When I plug the headset, if plugged as headset, only the sound will be recognized in the sound console from control panel. When plugged as mic, the mic will appear in the playback section, but no input will be registered. The headset even works fine on a laptop. Here are some specs from my pc in case this helps: Motherboard: b360m ds3h CPU: i5-8400 Case: L-Link Avatar USB 3.0 Headset: Generic Trust headset with 2 in 1 header Driver date: newest is september 2020, older feb 2019, neither work Thank you very much in advance, I'm hoping for the topic to actually help others in the future
  2. Thanks everyone for your kind replies. I still have the doubt that while the 6+2 pin connectors could fit the 8 pin, the notches seemed a little bit different. That's why I was scared to use them. However, since the PSU doesn't seem to be up to spec (my current system doesn't use a lot of power) I decided to check for another one. Wattage would be around 462 W accounting for the 1080ti+ my old parts. 2 different web sources suggested using a ~550 W PSU, the usual spec for that card the vendor says it's 600 W. Do you know of any respectable and affordable unit that can run either at 550 or 600 W?
  3. My PSU is a Tacens Mars Gaming Vulcano 750W 80 Plus Silver Semi Modular. Back in the day I'd think being rated over 80 Plus Bronze would be enough for safety. thing is, it has only 2 6+2 PCIE connectors, no 8 pin PCIE but 4 Molex. So it would be a good idea to use the 2 Molex as 6 pin PCIE or better to outright get a new one?
  4. As title shows. I've tried to search in forum but I did not find a clear conclusion. My Tacens PSU is rated Silver at 750 W with 2 6+2 PCIE and 4 Molex, wondering if I can use it to run a 1080 ti with 8 pin+ 6 pin
