  1. Thanks for the advice, I'll probably wait for the newer generation offerings. Yes, I had decided to have a look in the offline markets after performing due dilligence on online forums. Good luck on your build Cheers!
  2. Thanks for the reply, This budget is excluding the GPU upgrade, I usually wait for the parts to arrive in the market to get a better understanding of the price to performance ratio, however, do you think the new generation CPU's would be overpriced at their launch as is the case with new GPU's, I've been out of touch since my last build and have no clue as to the current market conditions. The reason I am asking is wether the newer generation parts would be within my $1100 budget(excluding GPU) or would I have to shell out more. Lastly,I know the next generation hasn't been released as you mentioned and I have been hearing a lot of good things about amd chips ever since I started researching for an upgrade, So, the age old intel vs amd question, which one should I go for? specifically for gaming I am from New Delhi Thanks for the Psu recommendation, I'll look it up.
  3. Budget (including currency): 85000 INR or ($1100) Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 60 fps gaming currently at 1080p but eventually at 1440p or 4k Other details my Current dead build i7 4790 k Asus maximus 7 Hero Corsair 750 W standard, pretty sure it is a standard or a bronze (Can't check atm) gtx 970 HI! first time posting here. I didn't know any better and got myself a standard rated PSU and according to a technician, it is what caused my motherboard to short. CPU, even if it is in working condition would be of no use if i upgrade to a new socket, right? Now my GPU is working fine and I'd like to possibly upgrade it in the future to a nvidia 3070 or a 3060. I used to game at 1080p 60fps (barely) and would like MOBO+CPU+PSU+ RAM combinations as well Since, a ddr3 ram would be of no use in a ddr4 slot I guess. My thoughts intel build i5 9600 k = 20500 INR ($280) GIgabyte z390m Gaming = 14600 INR ($200) Corsair vengeance pro 8x2 GB = 8000 INR ($110) Coupled with a gold rated 750 w PSU (recommend pls) Amd build 3600x = 18500 INR ($251) gigabyte b550 auros pro =17000 INR ($231) ( or should i go for a 570 board for future proofing?) Corsair vengeance pro 8x2 GB =8000 INR ($110) Coupled with a gold rated 750 w PSU (recommend pls) Which would be a better value for money? I am open to your recommendations as well for the above builds. Since, there are no socket problems with gpu's, my thoughts are to go for a slightly mid range build but going all out on a future GPU upgrade . Further what could be done for voltage fluctuations to minimise possible damage to parts? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
  4. Could you ellaborate more on this? won't get updated, in what sense? I'm planning to upgrade my pc because of a dead mobo plus psu and have decide to go for the following 1.Intel Core i5-9600K 2,GIGABYTE Z390 M GAMING 3.CORSAIR Vengeance 2x8 Gb 3200 ddr4 My rationale is to go for a medium to budget build with going all out on the gpu which can be salvaged in the future. I Need suggestions for a quality PSU because my old corsair psu is what caused my mobo to die, i'll be salvaging my old gpu, ssd's,hdd' etc but would eventually get a rtx 3070 when it launches
