  1. System spec Corsair crystal 680X 10900k w/ Corsair platinum 115i cooler 64gb Corsair 3600mhz ram Asus Rog Strix Z490-F motherboard Asus rog strix RTX 3090 Asus Thor 1200w powersupply Asus Xonar Essence 2 7.1 sound card Samsung G9 Odyssey Ok guys had this setup built for nearly 3 months now. Theres been a few problems I've been experiencing that I want to address. First odd thing I noticed was very occasionally the monitor would lose signal then reconnect. This would only happen say once every 2/3 weeks. And only ever when i'm browsing. Never in any games or apps Second problem, last week ,my pc froze when ieft idle for quite sometime and had to hard reset. Third yesterday while in the menus of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 my pc randomly restarted. I updated the bios to the latest version. I've yet to notice any of these errors but its very early to say things are ok. I think it's worth mentioning that I don't overclock but it strange that the cpu never runs at it's stock setting and I think it's to do with the way the Z490-F automatically configures the 10900k overclocking. I have the xmp enabled. Thats all. It runs constantly at 4.9ghz , if so how do i disable turbo to stop this. In games such as Modern Warfare and flight simulator 2020 my temperatures on the cpu tend to stay around 50-60's with peaks into the 70 occasionally but these drop back down. Gpu temps stay 67-72 max. monitored using rivatuner and msi afterburner. Any recommendations for cpu stress testing?
  2. I don't and parts for my new build won't arrive for some time and that includes a 3090 so I wouldn't want to risk putting that into this system while it's potentially unstable. This is a strange one indeed. I managed to get the pc to boot after unplugging the power lead then holding down the monitor power button for 5 seconds, i didn't think this would work but it did. So I performed a clean install of windows and reformatted all my drives. This has stopped the artifacts on mount and blade but I haven't done an extensive play of it yet to see if there are any issues. I also performed an extensive kombuster / cpu burn test. Here are the results of that stress test. Like I said before this is the 6th GPU from the computer company, they tested at their base for faults and replaced the graphics cards - I hadn't performed a clean install of windows on it mind you. Maybe this could give way to the instability? I don't know. Time will tell. Do you think a 550 watt power supply is under powered for this system. Maybe something like an 850w would improve stability if issues pop up, time will tell but the system feels less erratic now.
  3. Update: when I turn the power button the lights and sounds come on but there is no display. Tried turning off and repeating the process but result was identical.
  4. Went to take a screen shot of the progress of the stress tests running as you suggested but didn't get that far. This was around 40 minutes in the display went black and the fans kicked in. Core temps of the CPU were all around 50c and gpu was at 80c at the point of crash.
  5. Let it run for around 2 hours cpu temperature was ranging from 64-67c across all cores. No vrm temperature under the motherboard section though.. No crashes or anything out of the ordinary.
  6. What do you mean by choking and how would I go about making sure of that?
  7. Components are I7 9700k Evga Rtx 2080ti 16gb corsair vengeance @ 2666mhz TUF b 360 plus motherboard Corsair 550watt Cx550m psu Fractal meshify c case Problems are Monitor cuts to no display when trying to launch flight simulator 2020 or if it manages to load into a game it generally occurs. When the no signal occurs there is increased fan sound and no response when I try a keyboard command. Also experienced graphics corruption on mount and blade banner lord on the menu at this point I exited game immediately and ceased the use of the system. Pc also restarted itself when running flight sim. Notes Monitored gpu running around 80c constantly. Computer was built by scan systems similar problems occurred in the past and after five months of the system backwards and forwards to them they have managed to replace the gpu with another 2080ti 6 times over with them saying that it's the only thing they can do. The 6th 2080ti is card was last replaced this time last year, it was working fine and now the similar problems have started arising again.
  8. Hello my current setup is a TUF B360 PLUS motherboard 9700k cpu 16mb RAM @ 2666mhz max speed 2080TI Fractal meshify C case. 550W plus PSU Was wondering about recommendations for a new psu in preparation for the 3000 series cards or any other hardware upgrades that may be worth looking into for that matter. I am a bit of a graphics goblin so will be forking out for the flagship card assuredly.
  9. I've recently installed a new Sabrent Rocket Q 1TB M.2 ssd on a TUF B360-PLUS motherboard I formatted the hard drive via the disk management menu but then it doesn't show up as a working drive. How do I setup the hard drive properly?
