  1. You are very welcome! I am glad I was able to help. There were MANY people on reddit who also had this problem and I posted the solution there as well and it seems to have fixed EVERYONES issue so I am glad I was able to help!!!
  2. So... I just happened to open Msi Afterburner (as I have a slight OC on my 3080ti) and low and behold, my OC seemed to have gotten messed up during the driver installation and it was automatically setting my Power Limit to 28% so my GPU was running at a constant 285mhz (for the most part) after a restart or even putting the PC to sleep since Afterburner is set to start with Windows... I reset the GPU to stock in Afterburner and low and behold, it fixed the problem. Although I ALWAYS left Afterburner running and my OC on during every previous driver update and never had an issue, (including on my Girlfriends PC with an overclocked 3070 that I JUST updated yesterday while Afterburner was running and had no issues) something about this driver or just simply this time around on MY machine, it messed everything up. It seems to me that it may have had more to do with the OC itself than just Afterburner in general so IF anyone else ever has this same issue and IF you have an OC on the card with Afterburner (or maybe even any other OC software), reset the card to stock and then reinstall the newest drivers and HOPEFULLY it will fix it for you as it did for me. Thanks to everyone who assisted me with this. Sometimes its the simplest things that are the easiest to overlook and end up to be the MOST frustrating...
  3. Thanks for the info and idea man... I may try this but I did already use DDU and still no dice... ***EDIT*** I just received a driver update to version 522.25 and I installed it (hoping it was maybe a fix for something they may know is an issue) and restarted the PC and it STILL isnt working properly. I STILL have to reinstall the driver after the restart / sleep, etc in order for the driver to work properly... This is getting really frustrating...
  4. Youre right about that man... Its better tahn a completely dead card but it is really annoying as hell considering I only bought this 3080ti like 2 or 3 months ago but the nice thing is that I bought it with extended protection on it from the shop I purchased it from so IF it gets worde or dies I will get a new replacement for it but again, I dont want that to have to be the case. Thanks again my friend!!! Have a great rest of your day!!!
  5. Thanks again for the reply man... I guess I will have to maybe wait and see what (if anything) kind of answer I may get from the NVIDIA Support Forums unless there is a GPU Guru here that may have more info... I appreciate your help and feedback...
  6. I cant seem to find the Feedback Hub on my PC... Following the instructions from this site... https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/send-feedback-to-microsoft-with-the-feedback-hub-app-f59187f8-8739-22d6-ba93-f66612949332 I also dont use a Microsoft Account so I dont know if I can do anything with this...
  7. I have not but I will... I did just post in the NVIDIA forums as well under GPU Support and hopefully someone there can help as well...
  8. Thanks for the reply... Hmmmm... I dont have another PC to try it on unfortunately. That being said, in your opinion, are those the only 2 reasons that something like this could happen - Bad Driver Update or a Windows issue? I would lean more towards the Bad Driver Update as like I said in my OP, on the same system with the old driver (before I updated to the newest one) the system worked flawlessly and now even when I did a clean DDU install and even rolled back to that one it still has this issue now and all since installing the newest driver...
  9. So as the title says, recently I have run into an issue where I have to reinstall GPU drivers every time restart or shutdown and start my PC on an MSI Gaming X Trio 3080ti. I downloaded the 517.48 version of the Game Ready Driver and all of a sudden I have this issue. I have even tried rolling back to the previous driver version (516.94) but even with that one reinstalled my GPU wont work correctly after a restart / shutdown and start now (and that driver worked FLAWLESSLY before installing the newest one) so it appears that this 517.48 version of the driver has caused something to go wonky. I also did a full clean with DDU and reinstalled the 517.48 Driver fresh and still NO DICE. What happens is, say for example I restart the PC, as soon as Im on the desktop the GPU Clock will go to 285Mhz and just stay there no matter what kind of load I put on it. I have tested in games, benchmarks and even on something like Wallpaper Engine and it just sits there at 285Mhz and the usage goes up to like between 90 and 100% and everything is stuttery and just broken. The only thing that seems to fix it until the next time is reinstalling the driver again. After reinstalling the driver the FPS shoots back up to normal ranges until I put my PC to sleep or restart it. Also, I have NOT been able to update to Windows 11 22H2 yet (as I read that the newest driver was causing some similar issues to people who have updated) and I am on Windows 11 21H2 OS Build 22000.1042. Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening or how to fix it PERMANENTLY? Please advise...
  10. Ya... Im pretty sure and confident now that simply the games are not pushing the hardware enough and it does super good in benchmarks so that essentially confirms it... Thanks for the reply...
  11. Hey again man... So I used the QUICK CPU and turned up the core park slider all the way to 100% (all other sliders were already all the way up) and using SAINTS ROW IV as the example, it made no difference. Still only about 5 or six cores / threads used with total CPU Usage opf about 4 or 5% in game and the max GPU usage was still at like 60% in game. This leads me to believe that the game (and others like it) are just really old and do not demand anymore than what it is putting out and since I have good framerates, extremely smooth gameplay and super crisp graphics, I am ok with this. I sincerely appreciate all of yours and everyone elses help on this and now my brain can rest a bit LOL!!!
  12. Hmmmmm... Ok man. My GF just jumped on the PC for a bit but I will make these changes when I can and see what happens and will report back. Thanks for the help...
  13. Thanks for the recommendations my friend. My PC Power Plan is set to ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE already but... can you tell me though, what exactly does the core parking, frequency scaling, turbo boost and performance sliders do exactly? Will this increase my temps, etc.? Please let me know and in the interim I will make the changes to the NVIDIA items as you recommend...
  14. My buddy sent me his RTSS (my GF is using my PC atm) with all his cores and threads listed (12900K 16 Cores / 24 Threads) but again, as soon as he used the screen snip tool it booted him from the game to the menu. That being said, he says that even in the game itself that pretty much only the cores / threads that show values beside them are the ones being used so as you can see. barely any of the cores / threads are being utilized. Oh and the FPS are so low there because its in the menu and they seem to drop to 30 in this menu... What would you think on this? I hope this helps a bit...
