  1. I am not sure about that. Here is a video of someone doing it on the exact same router. I just don't know what kind of connector he used. Link is already timestamped at the point where he shows and connects to the ports.
  2. I place my router by the window which has very bad signal. I am looking to add an external antenna that will hang from the roof. Here is the link for Evoluzn FX-ID5 router.
  3. Is this not an IPEX female connector? I have also added more info to my post regarding the cable that I bought.
  4. I am looking to add an antenna to my router. I have bought a IPEX to SMA connector but it may be the wrong one. Here is the image of the internal board of the router. Here is another image with the connector that I bought. The circumference of the female and male are exactly the same and I am unable to push in the connector. Can anybody let me know what the name of the female connector is and what type of male connector do I need to purchase? Here is the actual image of the connector and here is the description: Impedance: 50 ohm Connectors: MMCX male right angle connector RP SMA female connector with male pin in the center Cable: RG316 cable Length: 6"(15cm) Thank you. EDIT:
  5. THANK YOU THIS WORKED. I didn't run the cleaning multiple times because a few years ago the printer repair guy told me I should only run it once or it damages the cartridge. I followed your advice and it started printing better.
  6. It's a Canon G3000, I really wanted to buy a laser printer after I changed the print head of this for the 4th time in 5 years but my parents said since we'd be moving it would be a good idea.
  7. Printer is not working I tried printing a test page and here is the result. I cleaned the print head and it just got worse instead of streaks only the outline of texts are shown. What does this mean? I am unable to troubleshoot with different print heads and I just want to know what I need to replace for this is this just the print head?
  8. Hello, Here is the device my ISP uses router/device[1] My ISP has blocked all advanced configuration (bridge mode, port forwarding and a lot of useful settings) I am only able to access the bridge mode settings via a "hack". I am using the following router[2]. Using the TP Link router I am able to cofigure port forwarding, DNS Server and have a vpn running on my router. Links: https://www.router-switch.com/hg6245d.html https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax90/
  9. When I put my ISP router in "Bridge Mode." The Internet speed maxes out at 80Mbps but when it is on "Route Mode". I am unable to access my TP-Link router via the Public IP now because the IP is just 192.168.x.x I will need my ISP to fix this for me now.
  10. I currently have an SBC Server. The server runs the following services PiHole Samba BitTorrent PLEX In the attached image I am showing my 2 Windows Devices (Desktop [2.5 Gbps] and Mini PC [5 Ghz wifi]) downloading a game over the LAN. I am looking to make another NAS server to store my PLEX and steam files. I am wondering on how to do it though. I am thinking about these two options: Install a network file system (Samaba/iSCSI) add this network drive to a PC which will be able to download games directly to the directory on the NAS Install Steam on the NAS Server, download games on the server and download to specific devices when needed The downside for number 1 are that whenever I need to download/update the games on my Mini PC, if the games are installed on my Desktop, I would need my Desktop to be turned on as it has access to the files via a network connection. I am confused however, on how will steam handle if both devices are connected via network. The downside for number 2 is steam on a linux server is hard to work on (I tried installing steam on my current server and I don't understand the errors with the libraries). I think this is a better option for me since the server is also on 2.5Gbps Ethernet and I will not have to turn on my Desktop for downloading games. I do have a number 3 but it is something I have not tired but may try in the future. I am thing to run my NAS on a Windows server and then virtualize a SteamOS environment where all the games will be downloaded. I just want some advice on what is the best practice. The main thing I just want to accomplish is to have all my games in one device and just download them as needed and to have it run on low power (Not having to turn on my PC or MiniPC to download things)
  11. When I was on my TP Link router the speeds always maxed out at 80 Mbps. However on my ISP router the speeds are 150 Mbps. The ISP router is connected to the TP link router via a CAT 5e cable on the 2.5GB wan port it has. Here are the things I think may be the issue. Cat 5e cable connecting ISP to New router. Theoretically the speeds should be maxed at 1000 Mbps but it could be an issue. The reason I am posting here is if there are any other things I should look out for? Router settings, firmware and etc? EDIT: ISP is maxing out my internet speed to 80Mbps when I put it in "Bridge Mode" to forward my Public IP to my TP-Link Router. TANGINA NIYO PLDT
  12. I just wanted to watch on my monitor via cast. Most apps for Windows use screen mirror so Netflix does not play on my PC. I just wanted a bigger screen while I just use my phone as a remote to play any video I's like to. The sources would be netflix, youtube and prime.
  13. Hi everyone, I was wondering on what app or service I could use to watch my Chromecast on my PC? I wanted to cast shows directly to my monitor on where I had two options: Connect Chromecast directly to my monitor via HDMI splitter Connect Chromecast to my PC via a capture card For the first option the downside is I would not be able to use my wireless headphones since the Chromecast would be using my monitor's speakers. For the second option I am unsure of any software that will able to show the video and also play the audio from the Chromecast. In my diagram below you can the flow for the 2nd option where the gray box has the software on it. If there are any better implementations you know do let inform me in the comments.
  14. I am working on a project that needs to set up a server. Since I am the only Computer/IT guy here I would be the one doing it. I have no experience with setting up a server so I wanted to ask if it is viable to use Ubuntu desktop OS for my server because I think having a GUI would help me a lot in troubleshooting and working with the server. The other reason I am asking this is, are there any downsides to having the desktop vs the server version of Ubuntu? Another question is I need to use MySQL for the project. What do you recommend installing for this on Ubuntu? Thank you.
  15. I currently have a Dell Insipron 7460 that has a SanDisk X400 M.2 SSD (SD8SN8U-128G) will an Adata SX8200 Pro M.2 NVME SSD (ASX8200PNP-1TT-C) work with my laptop?
