  1. Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x8 sticks if that's the case https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00D5XAN06?tag=bgfg-wepc-uk-21&geniuslink=true&th=1
  2. Currently looking at the Kingston HyperX Fury would that work?
  3. Currently have a Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 R2 Mobo, but want to upgrade the 6GB RAM to 16 GB. The actual computer isn't with me so I cant take it apart and check what type of RAM I should get, some online research took me to https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-78lmt-usb3-r2.pdf which seems to be the RAM compatibility for the mobo, unfortunately it doesn't make much sense to me. The mobo spec page says 4 DDR3 slots: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-78LMT-USB3-R2-rev-10/sp#sp My questions are basically what RAM types are compatible and what is actually the best value for money RAM as of right now? Thanks in advance
  4. Hey there, i am currently building in the Phanteks Eclipse P400A DRGB case and have the X53 which needs to be mounted, i don't know which way to mount it and where to put the fans. 1) The idea was to mount the radiator at the front and have the 3 preplaced fans at the front for intake, I would then put the 2 NZXT fans at the top for exhaust. 2) Replace the 3 fans at the front and use the 2 NZXT fans at the front then move the 3 drgb fans so that 2 are at the top (idk if it should be exhaust or intake) and 1 is at the back (exhaust). These are the 2 ideas that i was thinking of but I don't know if there would work or even look good. Any suggestions would be helpful. P.S: Extra information to clarify new ideas would be helpful, as I am a first time builder. Also i don't know if this is the right place to post this question so sorry if it isn't. Thanks
  5. I don't need to be at max frame rate for now, I just want to be able to use a good amount of options available to me. Sorry if the message came across unclear.
  6. Hey there, So here's what my situation looks like: I have all the parts besides the GPU. Therefore, I have decided to get a 'stand-in' GPU until either the RTX 3080 or RX 6800XT are in stock. And as soon as I get this GPU i am planning to build the PC and test it out. The reason I am making this post is to ask for any advice or suggestions on what GPU to get in the meanwhile. Ideally the GPU is something that is cheap but can still give good FPS and use the 240Hz on the Odyssey G7. I understand that my processor will probably take most of the workload as a 5900X is a beast. Looking around maximum £150 budget as this is only for a short amount of time. (Although this might change based on any information I get) Thanks
  7. Oh, sorry i did get a bit confused. The CPU im getting is the 5900X, sorry for the confusion
  8. I'm not sure I understand, so high refresh rate on low fps = bad quality? Maybe an example would help
  9. so my monitor is capped at 60Hz till i get a GPU?
  10. Ahh, i see. I'm planning to get the 6800X, does its igpu have enough power to run 144+ Hz displays?
  11. I am going to wait for a GPU and use the integrated graphics (IG) instead, but after some more research I realise that IG is on the CPU. In that case I am getting a 6800X, does that have IG and if so is it good enough? Please bear with me if I sound dumb, i just want to understand what I can run on until I can get my hands on a GPU
  12. I am building my pc and have ordered a decent amount of the parts, however since the GPU's are scarce i was wondering if the MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard can run 144Hz or even 240Hx on my Odyssey G7. Thanks

Thank you for the help and if u have anything else to add it would be much welcomed - like when to buy the parts for the best deals. Edit: Just saw that at the bottom of the parts list there are some notes, i understand the BIOS update one but cannot verify the ones to do with the case. It would be helpful if i could get some clarification on that.
