It turns out it works but I think due to that's it's powering 2 ports off one header it's a bit choked for power. I have issues running external hard drives off it and still just rely on the back ports.

Hi all, Just got the P400a and noticed on the spec sheet it has 3.0 front USB ports but my B550m motherboard has a USB 3.2 front panel connector which im going to connect the ports to. Will these 3.0 ports now run at 3.2 gen 1 speeds or is there a hardware limitation on the port itself? Thankful for any help.

With continued random testing, I have managed to get everything back to normal (for now no failures on boot and graphics benchmarking tests work). Strangely enough, i unplugged the mouse,keyboard and other peripherals from the rear USB 3.0 and moved them to USB 2.0 and all the issues seem to have stopped. No idea what that means but at least I can keep using the computer for a while until I upgrade.

Thanks for the linux tip, might give it a shot to see if its windows or driver related. The debug LED for the GPU turns on occasionally during the crashes or on startups.

Wow just realized that i listed all the specs but not the GPU, must have slipped my mind. Its a GTX 970 windforce from Gigabyte. I have no possibility to test it on another system which really stopped my diagnostics dead in its tracks.

So for a while now I have been experiencing strange behavior from my first even PC build (specs below), I would shut it down and sometimes when i would boot it back up the fans would spin, keyboard lights up but no signal sent to the monitor so it never wakes up. A few manual shutdowns and restarts later it works just fine and i'm able to game and work. Yesterday rolls along and i try to start it, but the problem gets worse and now im getting half black screens as windows starts up or freezes where the computer kicks it into a restart loop. Little bit of tinkering later I decide to try using the on-board graphics instead of my GPU, turns out everything runs fine even under stress tests so i'm assuming my GPU has failed me. That really sucks because it was the only part of this build i wanted to carry forward into my new build. This was my first build and everything was bought used as my salary is really low and PC components are expensive (located in Spain). Now i'm torn, do I replace the GPU with either a 1660 super, 2060 KO or 5600 XT. Budget of 300 EUR. I obviously cant continue with my initial plan to upgrade my mobo, cpu and ram until this is done as the R5 3600 doesn't have integrated graphics and the GPU is a must then. Any advice is appreciated!
