  1. A bit of an update. I replaced the Cooler Master bargain basement thermal paste with MX4 and I only started to go over 90 with a 5.0GHz OC and hitting it with AIDA, I also ordered a new AIO since while I'm at it may as well I guess so I hopefully never get it over 90 but we shall see.
  2. Yeah sorry I mistyped. I've fixed it to 4.9GHz - Vcore is 1.27
  3. I just watched the PC Tech Support stream and was wondering how my CPU would do with the Blender tests so I downloaded/started running them with HWinfo up and was thermal throttling instantly. See the pic below when i switched to AIDA64 and it smacked my CPU within 5 seconds to a throttle as well. I just recently switched PC cases so I don't know if this was happening before I switched but I don't think so. I made sure I had thermal paste on there and it was good coverage, reapplied it anyway with some basic Cooler Master stuff I have. I also blew out all the fan filters and made sure all the fans were actually pushing air the correct direction, everything's fine. I'm currently running a 9900k OC'd to 4.9GHz and the cooler is an AIO Corsair Hydro Series Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler H100i, all my fans are Noctua, and my 1080ti doesn't have any overheating issues.I'm sort of at a loss to be honest. Does anyone here know what in God's name is making my CPU suffer? Edit: I should add my idle CPU temps are 37-40 degrees. Edit 2: I pulled off my CPU cooler and verified that there was in fact thermal paste and it had a better than average I'd say spread, so that shouldn't be the issue. I also noticed that my CPU has an extra 4 pin (marked as EATX12V_2 on the below screenshot from the motherboard's manual.) As far as I know I might not have ever had that extra 4 pin plugged in. I'm going to order another cable since the only one I have doesn't reach in case this is the problem I guess.
