  1. I personally don't like and will not consider liquid coolers. Also, Arctic products aren't sold locally, and it is much more expensive than the U12S. In that case, I might stick with the stock fans, then. Thank you! Alright, I'll try to find them here.
  2. Thank you! I can't get my hands on Arctic Bionix F120's locally. Any other suggestions for fans? And no, I'm not planning on getting another fan for the U12S, just wondering if a Push or Pull configuration would be better? Well there's actually a fan controller included in the case, I'm planning to plug in all 5 fans in the controller, but not sure if it will work.
  3. Hi everyone, I'm on the last stages of my PC planning and will move on to building probably by this weekend. I already have most of my parts except for the processor and hard drive (I just need to settle some import clearance and it's going to be delivered this week, hopefully). My planned build will be: MSI B550 Tomahawk AMD Ryzen 7 3700X G.Skill Ripjaws 32GB (dual) 3600 CL16 Noctua NH U12S chromax.black fan cooler 512GB ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB Crucial MX500 SATA SSD 1TB Seagate Firecuda (from old build) Lian Li Lancool II Mesh Performance Seasonic Focus GX-750 80+ Gold So what I plan to do is buy three Noctua NF-P12 redux fans and have them as intake, then move one of the 140mm stock fans included in the Lancool II Mesh to the top-rear as exhaust. I'll just keep the other 140mm fan as spare. So, essentially it will be the three Noctuas as intake then the stock 120mm as rear exhaust and the stock 140mm as rear exhaust. Would this fan configuration work? As for the Noctua NH-U12S, would a push or pull configuration work better? Many thanks in advance!
  4. I just read the manual again, and there is a "SATA 15P" that should connect to the PSU. My bad, I thought it was getting power directly from the motherboard. So does it connect to a SATA port on the motherboard?
  5. It has a 4 pin PWM pin, if that’s what you’re asking for.
  6. Hi all, I already purchased some parts of my upcoming build. I already have the power supply (Seasonic Focus GX-750), motherboard (MSI B550 Tomahawk), case (Lian Li Lancool 2 Mesh) and CPU fan (Noctua NH U12s). i bought these first since these are the ones that get out of stock quick. So while waiting for the other parts, I thought to myself, since I have the motherboard and PSU, might as well test out some of the components. In testing the components, I noticed that my case fans won’t spin when plugged into the controller, but they do spin when you connect them directly to the motherboard. I’m worried whether the controller might be broken or it’s because I need a CPU and RAM to boot into the BIOS and set it up (or something like that) Any help would be appreciated!
  7. Well I live in the Philippines, and either way, I'm waiting for the part to return to me, so I guess 2 weeks and 1 month+ doesn't make much of a difference. I have a laptop that would serve my work needs sufficiently until the replacement comes. I don't think it will be a big of a concern if I'm just buying a motherboard, CPU, RAM, SSD (and maybe GPU in the future). PSUs and cases don't qualify for free shipping (at least upon checking the models that I wanted).
  8. Hi, Anyone (not based in the US) who are buying stuff from Newegg? I checked local prices on the parts I wanted and when you factor in the import duties and taxes, Newegg has a better price (would save me roughly 40-50 USD in local currency) thanks to the free shipping offer. I'm just interested to buy the motherboard, processor, RAM, and maybe SSD.
  9. I checked the database and so far with the Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro, there seems to be no problem with the U12S and D15, should I assume that the B550 will not pose problems as well? Also, I checked the case clearance but for some reason the Cooler Master NR 600 is not listed.
  10. Isn’t the NH-D15S the single fan version of the D15? https://noctua.at/en/nh-d15s
  11. I forgot to ask, if ever I decide to go with this build, do I go for a B450 or B550 board? I’m currently looking at the Gigabyte Aorus Pro for both B450 and B550. Any thoughts?
  12. So far, no, and I'm actually waiting for the 4000 series. However, if things change, the build may become urgent. Alright, I'll go with 32GB! Sorry, I just got a faint memory of when my PC was built, I didn't really have an idea how to build a PC back then, but I do remember the 4000 series of Intel processors were the latest then, so 7 years is the likeliest age of this build. I'll check the Noctua database for this! Unfortunately, only the dual fan D15 is available, but hopefully the single fan will be back in stock!
  13. Budget (including currency): initially 50000 PhP (roughly 1000USD) Country: Philippines Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games: LoL, CS:GO, and anything that might interest me (just a casual gamer) Programs/Workload: Adobe Premiere Rush/Pro (mainly for editing videos, no need for high quality ones, mostly just lectures/tutorials), VMs, some programming, web browsing Other details: Current build (almost 10 years, I guess): CPU: Intel i5-4440 RAM: 16GB 1666MHz DDR3 (I'm not sure with the frequency) GPU: GTX 1050 (replaced the GTX 650) HDD: 1TB Seagate Firecuda (replaced the old Barracuda drive due to failure) Case: Just some generic case PSU: Aerocool PSU (not sure, forgot) Keyboard: Corsair K70 Lux Mouse: Logitech G502 Hero Monitor 1: ASUS VP249QGR (recently purchased) Monitor 2: Samsung SF22F350FHE (recently purchased) Potential build: CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X RAM: Gskill Ripjaws V 3200 16GB (2x8GB) GPU: GTX 1050 (from old system) - will upgrade to a new one in a later time SSD 1: 500GB ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro SSD 2/HDD: 1TB SSD replacing the Seagate Firecuda PSU: Silverstone Essentials 80+Bronze 650W CPU Fan: Noctua DH15 Chormax Black Case: Cooler Master NR600 Keyboard: Corsair K70 Lux (from old system) Mouse: Logitech G502 Hero (from old system) Monitor 1: ASUS VP249QGR (from old system) Monitor 2: Samsung SF22F350FHE (from old system) Any thoughts? My main concerns are: 1. Is 16GB RAM enough? or should I go for 32GB? 2. Will the Noctua DH15 fan fit in the case and have enough clearance for the RAM? I'm also thinking of getting Corsair Vengeance LPX as an alternative, but would have it shipped from the US (way cheaper, would save me around 20 bucks, price here is outrageous) Thanks in advance!
