So... i bought a secondary ram stick, identical to the one living in my system right now. I put it in and nothing seems to work. Tried to switch the ram sticks between the two slots (yes, there are only 2), also tried only the new ram in both slots. Nothing. Constant bootloop with the display not showing anything, tried to switch output from gpu to mobo as well - still nothing. Even no error messages when I attached a mobo speaker. I'm pretty sure the new ram is faulty in i'm probably gonna return in tomorrow, but before doing that I might as well post here, maybe someone has the right fix in mind. One more thing - with the "new" ram in place (with or without the "old" stick) i saw my exhaust fan lights flickering, kind of in rhythm. The light dims about every 1.5 secs, then lights up fully again.
