  1. When my pc monitors go black once I'm afk for a while often times my main monitor won't be detected when I move my mouse and I have to unplug the display port and plug it back in for it to be picked up. The problem monitor is a: AOC 27G2G5 running at 1920x1080 75 hz. Second monitor is a dell S2309W running at 1920x1080 at 60hz. My system specs: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core 16Gb RAM Corsair Vengeance GTX 960 MSI B450M Mortar MAX mATX mobo. Not sure on make of PSU but its 650W I'm not really in a position to test different cards or monitors but this issue has only occured with this monitor and not my previous one. Any help would be appreciated thanks
  2. Hi, I'm basicaslly looking for a good usb hub. I need to plug in things like a DAC and an xbox controller. Just liitle things that I've run out of room for on my pc. I'm just wondering if I need to make sure I'm getting something good enough to support the power needs of my devices and if plugging things like a xbox controller in to it would result in delay etc Thanks
  3. One of my monitors is dying so its time for a replacement. On somewhat of a tight budget so looking for roughly £150 or about $200. The one that is dying is a BenQ GL2460. So I'm sure you can tell how long I've had that and the quality. I'm used to. If you're under any misconceptions still my other monitor is a DELL S2309W. Regardless, any suggestions are welcome! Thank you!
  4. If thats the case, any recommendations for around £150 ~ $200?
  5. So...I swapped cables and it was fine for the same 3 seconds then began to flicker. I swapped cables back and it flickered and is now... fine. I have no idea what happened haha
  6. I updated my motherboard and cpu with a fresh windows install maybe a month ago and had no issues. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Mobo: MSI B450 Mortar
  7. Hi all, I have a 2 monitor set up. Absolutely nothing fancy what so ever. One of the monitors is a Dell S2309W which I have had for years. The other is a BENQ GL2460 which I have also had for years... just less than the Dell haha. This morning when I turned my pc on for some reason only the Benq monitor is flickering. When I turn it off and on it is fine but after 3 seconds it begins to flicker slowly at first until it becomes very fast. I've checked cable connections etc. If anyone could offer any help I'd be very grateful! Edit: My graphics card is a GTX 960. And there is nothing different about the setup etc from the previous night when everything was working fine (no additional interference) Thanks
  8. No worries, just wanted to double check and be certain before I drop all that money haha
  9. Ah okay, thank you. Just got to do a 100 measurements to be 100% sure it'll fit in the case
  10. Just to be clear so I know what I'm buying, the link I posted says its a 5700XT and therefore isn't a base 5700 card right? Or am I miss understanding?
  11. Wonderful thank you. I did just realise that its a 320mm length card and I have a corsair carbide matx case which says max gpu length of 290mm... haha is 30mm just too much for me to try and squeeze in or do you think I could get away with it. I don't have a dual rad or anything on the front fans which I think is what would limit the length of the card so much.
  12. https://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-Triple-Dissipation-Graphics-RX-57XT83LD8/dp/B087J3KM2X/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=rx%2B5700&qid=1594045802&s=computers&sr=1-2&th=1 This is the card I found if that helps
  13. I've found a rx 5700 XT for £370 when normally it would retail around £430. Its a XFX card, which is a brand I hadn't heard of before and their rx 3600 card is only £20 cheaper at £350. The deal just seems too good to be true. Anyone had any experience with XDFX graphics cards and could advise me on this? Thanks
  14. Awesome! Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it
  15. Thanks for the info, your link is very helpful but I really am a novice when it comes to this. Is there anyway we could chat and you could give me a rundown of the basics? Or just a link to something useful etc, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  16. Hi, I have been using a mixer and microphone setup for a while and it has been nothing but trouble. Whilst I appreciate you can get better sounds etc from it. I just want to avoid the hastle. I was looking at the AT2020 usb mic. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions? Thanks
  17. Yeah, at a quick look on amazon etc however the extra £30 for the MSI board might be a bit much considering all the questions asked if the Steel ASROCK board supports 3600s seems to be a resounding yes. I guess I'll have to do some math and figure out if the extra money is worth avoiding the risk, depending on how hight that risk is.
  18. Ah okay, very tempting to go with that then just to reduce the risk of the board not supporting the chip
  19. Did the MSI board support the 300 series out of the box? It would be super useful to make sure that the motherboard does just to save me a lot of effort haha
  20. Cool, so it seems the 3600 is the way to go. I'm looking at the asrock b450m steel legend matx board as I have an matx case and on the motherboard thread this was the best rated motherboard for this chip at this size (matx)
  21. I'm looking to upgrade my pc and I need it to last for a long time because my financial future is looking a little grim. I've been watching the buyers guides and have decided on a new gpu, but the cpu has me scratching my head. I thought initially that the Ryzen 3600 would be for me, however after watching the holiday buyers guide video on LTT I saw that the 2700x was competing with the i9 9900. Whilst it wasn't straight up out performing the $400 CPU it was getting respectably close to matching it and at such a lower price point I was curious: Is the 2700x better or worse than the 3600? LTT seemed to somewhat gloss over the 2700x in their buyers guide and I assume that this is because the CPU is somewhat last gen. So, I was wondering which would be better seeing as they seem to cost almost exactly the same? If it makes any difference I'll probably be getting the ASROCK b450 Motherboard as suggested in the LTT forum motherboard teir list thread.
