  1. Well thanks for the responses guys. If I go with only 32gb ram, and the r7 3700 cpu, that will save me $500 right there. I'll have to debate if I can wait the 2 months, I have the money now and I'm not the best saver Also this current pc needs some work, need a reinstall I think before I start doing some hardware diag. So I figured I want to upgrade any way, as she's an older rig with the motherboard capped at 16 gbs ram. Then fix this one in my free time.
  2. I have a i7-6700 at the moment, hows that benchmark look? I see a lot more green, but still dont understand the small details lol. https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-6700-vs-AMD-Ryzen-7-3700X/3515vs4043
  3. Well right now on Newegg, the r7 3700 is $419, and the r9 3900 is on sale for $619. If that is a way better cpu, for only $200 more, I'd be ok with spending that for a more future proofed set up. I know that with rendering the nvidia gpu can take the brunt of that load. But I want room to be comfortable now and in a couple years too.
  4. That mean the cpu and motherboard I am looking at will likely fall in price a lot?
  5. Not an everyday thing, I could be fine with 32gb I'm sure. I kind of wanted to future proof and leave room to go way higher demand, but no reason I can't just buy the 32gb for now.
  6. Budget (including currency): $2000 cad Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, rendering, editing Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I run 28" 4k monitor 60hz, and a 70" tv 4k 60hz as a secondary screen. This is my first build as stated in the title. Can I get a little input from a newegg list I have at the moment? Ideally if I could get the price down a bit I'd be happier, but I would rather spend the money to avoid future problems. https://newegg.io/6eb8d43 I didn't pick a gpu because I have a RTX 2060 in my current rig that will go into this new one. I appreciate any opinions/advice.
