  1. i was thinking more about, which has more performance, and also saving a buck would also be nice. But performance is priority to me.
  2. Hello. I have a fairly new laptop, with a couple of USB 3.2 Gen 1's and USB-C 3.2 Gen 2. Since I've got both NVME slots already occupied with SSDs and I do not want to swap either of them for bigger storage, is it better to buy an external nvme enclosure + a regular NVME SSD or just stick to the external SSD? I would like to run games off of it.
  3. Hello. I have decided to buy a new laptop for university and gaming. I would like to know if the 2 core sacrifice from i7-10870H to r5 5600h is worth it if i want a better battery life?: lenovo legion 5 with 5600h: https://aio.lv/en/laptops-computers/notebooks/lenovo-legion-5-notebook-396-cm-156-full-hd-amd-ryzen-5-16-gb-ddr4-sdram-512-gb-ssd-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3060-wi-fi-6-80211ax-black-blue:4593659 dell g5 5510 with i7-10870h: https://aio.lv/en/laptops-computers/notebooks/dell-g5-5510-notebook-396-cm-156-full-hd-intelr-core-i7-16-gb-ddr4-sdram-512-gb-ssd-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3060-wi-fi-6-80211ax-linux-ubuntu-grey:4377373 Any other gaming laptop suggestions are welcome as well. Thanks.
  4. Hello. I would like to know, what kind of resolution should i look at for my new monitor: 1440p or 1080p? I will be playing mostly AAA titles as well as some indie games. Also, I plan to upgrade the gpu in the future. Thank you for your input. Here are my specs: CPU: R7 3700X MOBO: MSI MAG B550M MORTAR RAM: 16GB GPU: RTX 2060 Super SSD: 500gb NVME, 1TB SATA, 120GB SATA HDD: 2TB, 1TB
  5. Hello. I have decided to build a home server for a file backup. I would probably schedule a backup once a week. I have a few components lying around from my old gaming pc: CPU: Ryzen 5 1400; RAM: 8GB 2666mhz ddr4; MOBO: Asus prime A320M-E. Due to the insane GPU markup, the cheapest GPU that I can find in my country is GT210, for 40 euros. As I am aware, that’s 2x the price that its supposed to be, and I do not know, if that will be sufficient for it, since I want to install Linux Debian with a desktop environment, cause I do not feel 100% comfortable with terminal only. Then of course I will need to buy atleast 5-6TB HDD. The 6TB WD Red costs around 170 euros. And then a 600W PSU (the corsair CX650M seems sensible) for 70 euros, since I would like to have more sata connectors. I would like to add, that used components on marketplaces like ebay are not really an option. The second option would be, to buy Athlon 200GE, and everything mentioned above, except the GPU. But since it is a 2 core 4 thread CPU, I am questioning its performance. The third, and the cheapest option would be to get a decade old ASUS laptop from a relative of mine for free, and add an external HDD to it. But the performace is questionable again, since it barely can handle windows 10, that is installed on SSD. So, those are my options, and I am not sure which is better. I would like to hear your opinions. Thanks beforehand.
  6. and for some reason, no. I got only the ones that are attached to the psu.
  7. Hello. I have an issue with my sata power cables, where they are too short to reach my mounted SSDs. I was thinking about buying this extender: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B0086OGN9E . Is this SATA to SATA extender good? The psu that I have is seasonic core gc-650. Thanks.
  8. Hello. I am experiencing a black chrome window with the amd bug report tool popup (see the attached image) saying, that a driver timeout has occurred on the system. This happens about once a week, and only with chrome and discord. In games I have no issues. Here are the main specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G (with Adrenalin 22.2.2 drivers) MOBO: MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI RAM: Crucial Ballistix DDR4 16 GB CL16 3600 MHz GPU: integrated Vega 7
  9. A friend of mine lent me those 2 cans so that i can try them out. They were not mine.
  10. Budget - 50-60 euros max. Source/Amp - PC How the gear will be used - At home, in a decently quiet room, but i would still prefer closed ones, if i decide to use them in a more louder environment. Preferred tonal balance - I would like to have a balanced cans. I am treble sensitive, so, the less treble, the better. Preferred music genre(s) - Pop, rock. Past gear experience - Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 32Ohm - very comfortable cans, but the treble was unbearable. Audio-Technica ATH-M40X - Very good, balanced cans, did not have any piercing sounds at all, but the ear pads were uncomfortable.
  11. Hello. I wanted to ask, is Corsair RM650 a good psu? Are there any better alternatives? Here are my specs: CPU: R7 3700X MOBO: MSI MAG B550M MORTAR RAM: 16GB GPU: RTX 2060 Super SSD: 500gb NVME, 1TB SATA, 120GB SATA HDD: 2TB, 1TB Here is the store, that I am buying it from: https://www.1a.lv/p/barosanas-bloks-psu-corsair-rm-rm650-650w-cp-9020194-eu/6vuk Thanks in advance.
