  1. I understand, but from basically everything I have read and videos I have watched. For 200 dollars this CPU is great. You can overclock well, and it performs fine for gaming. Sure you'll see a 10-15 increase, if that, in FPS if you go to i5-10600k, bit its a 130$ increase. When you say "dead platform" I don't understand what you mean, just because newer ones come out doesn't mean that this one wont perform the same.
  2. Yes my plan is to change it up when that does happen. But if new gens didnt come out this is the build I would go with hypothetically.
  3. I want to keep it under 1600. United States. Playing Games/ Streaming. Some 1440p gaming
  4. Alright so I have a few questions 1. For my build (provided below) how much extra wattage would I need? Could I stick with a 550 watt instead of a 650 psu 2. From what I've read and watched, the i5-9600k is great for overclocking per its value. Most people overclock it safely to 5ghz, which the x63 AIO could I get over that while still remaining with safe temps? 3. The graphics card I plan to get is the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super Windforce OC 3x, is it worth overclocking? - considering it has 3 fans it should be fine cooling wise right? Of course I understand that it is different for everyone and I will have to do my own testing once I build the computer. and if you have any tips please let me know or anywhere I can improve on my build! 5. they may be cheaper but are not as good as the i7-9700k let alone the i7-10700k
  6. All Ryzen CPUs I have looked at are either way more expensive than the one I have now or the same and dog shit compared to it. I will probably end up going with the i7-10700k, what do you mean by the z390 is dead?
  7. I intend on building a computer, where can I purchase Windows and have it download directly to a USB?
  8. Thats what I intend on doing, I have heard from some that I will be able to get 2080 performance for the price I am paying now for my graphics card. Other than that, anything out of the ordinary? and will my build allow a 2080 to perform fully?
  9. First of all thanks for the response! 1. I intend on playing games like Fortnite, Rust, Call of Duty, and Minecraft, and pretty much FPS games in general. I have a 2560x1440p monitor and I would like to play on 1440p (after doing research my graphics card cant even use my monitors 1440p) I have found Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super 3x OC for the same price and some videos said it offers the best performance, good cooling, and easy overclocking
  10. CPU: i7-9700k 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8 GB WINDFORCE OC 3X CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken x73 Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING ATX Ram: ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D80 16 GB SSD: Team MP33 512 GB M.2 Case: NZXT H710i Power Supply: Cooler Master MWE Gold 650 W 80+ MY OLD BUILD CPU: i7-7700k GPU: GTX 1060 6gb The rest was pretty shit/decent I intend on running 1440p with my monitor (2560x1440 144hz) very well on most games. Anything thoughts? Total cost is about $1800.
  11. Originally I plan on getting the Zotac RTX 2070 Super Mini. It is only $499 which is good fits my budget. I've recently found videos claiming which RTX 2070 Super card chip builds were the best. There are many different brands that have taken the chip and made a graphics card with it, but its at $700-$800 range. I am trying to find out if they both have the same performance or the one I am currently looking at is not very good/a cheap one.
  12. CPU Cooler: DEEPCOOL GAMMAX GTE V2 Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI Case Fans: One NZXT Aer F 120mm Fan, Two NZXT Aer F 140mm Fan. Two fans on the GTX 2070 Super.
  13. Budget (including currency): 300 - 500 USD Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Just high-speed browsing with no issues Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I need a laptop, no games will be played on it. I need a good running laptop that can perform well and multitask. He is still choosing between Apple or Microsoft (I prefer Microsoft but Laptops are different from PCs and I don't have much knowledge on Laptops.) The laptop can be lightly used. Thanks!
