  1. Thanks for the advice. I'd still like to have some form of watercooling for the initial build, not necessarily a custom build. But i can just switch out the air cooler for the one i picked (unless you guys say its a bad watercooler? I have no idea what makes a water cooler good/bad) 16 gb ram instead of 32 is a good idea. Noted on the slight CPU downgrade. I considered going for the 3600, but i wasn't sure if the .2 GHz downclock would matter. The 3.6 GHz puts it a lot closer to my current CPU and i figured that would result in the performance issues i'm currently experiencing returning sooner. Sidenote i forgot to mention in the initial post: I'm not sure which SSD is best due to the DRAM thing. I know DRAM is important to have, but i'm having trouble figuring out for most of the drives whether or not its present. Are you guys aware of any cheaper 1TB options with a dram cache?
  2. Budget (including currency): €1000-1400 (+100, but thats reserved for the windows key) Country: Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming mostly (currently mostly warzone and some dota, but obv. thatll change during the lifetime of the pc), consuming content Why am i upgrading: My current system is having troubles with running both games and discord (voice) simultaniously, leading to me having to boost priority of discord in task manager which then makes my system unstable... which means i crash a lot. Also because i feel like its time Other details: - I want to watercool this system, for the simple reason that i haven't done it before and would like to try - As you can see my own mockup already went ~150 over budget, any suggestions on what i could cut down on to save a bit of cost? - Already have all the peripherals i need - I'd like to have atleast 1 usb-c port on the new case (so i can plug in my phone when needed) Current build, for reference: New build mockup: PCPartPicker Part List CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 3.8 GHz 6-Core Processor (€223.00 @ Azerty) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (€73.99 @ Azerty) Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard (€149.00 @ CD-ROM-LAND) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory (€135.85 @ CD-ROM-LAND) Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (€182.85 @ Azerty) Storage: Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (€62.85 @ Azerty) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB WINDFORCE OC 3X Video Card (€535.00 @ Azerty) Case: NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case (€79.85 @ CD-ROM-LAND) Power Supply: SeaSonic FOCUS 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (€109.90 @ CD-ROM-LAND) Total: €1552.29 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-07-13 22:53 CEST+0200
