I shut my PC down and it won't turn on. When I press the power button, everything lights up and the fans spin up. But, two seconds later, it turns back off by itself. Then it continuously tries to turn itself on, then turns back off until I turn the power supply off. I am unable to reach the BIOS or even the boot screen.
If I leave it looping long enough, the PC stays on, but there is no display or USB connection coming out. I saw a post saying the bootloop can occur due to ERP and RGB settings in BIOS (which is something I have changed to disable all RGB recently), and to just wait until the computer does boot and disable it in BIOS. This person's scenario is exactly like mine, however, his boots up after a few loops and allows him to enter bios. Mine just boots and stays running but nothing comes on screen and clicking delete on my keyboard does nothing.
I've tried clearing the CMOS but I don't know if I did it correctly. Here's what I tried:
1. Turn off computer (I just held down the power button until the fans stopped spinning)
2. Unplug and turn off power supply
3. Short the two CLRTC pins on bottom right of motherboard for 10 seconds using a screwdriver
4. remove screwdriver
5. plug in and turn on power supply and power on pc
(Went back to boot loop and then eventually started but no display or USB)
Some additional info:
The graphics card has an an board RGB switch and an on board BIOS switch. When I use the BIOS switch while the computer is turned on, I can hear the fans changing speed, and the RBG on/off switch is working normally as well. The motherboard has RGB and a light on the ethernet port to indicate detected input and both are working as well. A couple of seconds after turning the computer on, even though there is no display or USB power, I can see the pc visible on my LAN via my router control panel. The only major part for which I have no indication as to whether or not it is working properly is the PSU, but I don't have any equipment or spare PCs to test it.
