  1. A nice feature of the games on xcloud is that, yes they might be gamepass games you can download, but through xcloud you don't have to spend the time downloading them. Just click the one you want and wait 20 secomds for it to load!
  2. I think I have to revise my top 2. Xcloud lets you play games you don't own, but twice now playing destiny my controller lost connection to the character. Destiny 2 on Geforce now was superb, i find it even more responsive than the xcloud version. So from that both xcloud share position 1. Update on my experiement: I've tried Prime OS on an old laptop but xcloud, geforce now would install but not load. Not sure if thats the old tech or the OS, thinking I may have to dual boot prime os on my main pc to rule that out.... Prime OS does allow you to play using the xcloud and Geforce app. First hurdle out the way, now the hardware....
  3. No m8, more like game streaming to a device using the emerging game streaming services.
  4. I think if you can afford even a 2nd hand Shield that would be the easiest way to go (the Tegra processor). I'll continue with my project just for fun I've not tried the T95 box for any long gaming sessions, hence why i want to build something with extra space for cooling.
  5. For me xcloud runs really well. The only game i've played that had any slow down was Destiny2. When i say slowdown i mean input lag but it was minimal. Picture was perfect. Other games i played were Elite Dangrous, Ace Combat 7 all had no issues and were a joy to play for me. Not having to own games to play them is a plus imo. Console mode was a joy to use too. Geforce now is great too, not having to have your home pc on to play games you own makes the difference. I did have a problem with Elite and it not detecting my Controller at first, but this was cured by setting the control option . EDIT:Will run Destiny2 on both Geforce now and Xcloud to compare today I tried Moonlight and for now its a work in progress. Will be trying Steam link anywhere today, but that requires me to have my home PC on. Stadia, will try at some point but with a lack of games then £8.99 a month is a bit steep (already had the trial) I'm not a xbox fan boy but my Top streaming apps would be in this order. 1. Xcloud (a i did have to download an apk to install) 2. Geforce Now. 3.tbc
  6. Thanks, seems i'd need a 6th generation Amd APU for h.265 decode....I only have a AMD A10-5800K
  7. You are right Android was my OS of choice but not bluestacks! Might have considered something like Prime OS or other android OS. As i mentioned i do have it running using a Android box with a mali-g31 mp2 gpu pretty well. Had considered the Shield and will purchase one in the future when i start working again! I just wanted to make something with the junk i had lying around! It seems h.265 decoding is a must so not sure if an AMD A10GPU would handle it of which i have lying around.
  8. As title, when i say streaming i mean for the upcoming xcloud and the already availiable geforce now/stadia/steamlink anywhere/insert ones i forgot. I purchased a T95 android box which runs xcloud and geforce now really well which got me to wondering if anyone else has ventured in to this? I know that the Nvidia shield would win as many people have tried - but I had various Motherboards and AGPU processors lying around and wanted to see if i could build a cheap pc (smallish) pc just for game streaming...
