  1. I’m making one now. I’d like to not have to start over, but most of my stuff is in the cloud and my PC is my “fun” machine, not my work one so it’s no major loss.
  2. So I was playing (of all things) House Flipper with my 5 year old son (thank you Steam Sale!) when my system froze. I turned it off at the power supply (toggle switch) and let it sit for 30 seconds, then went to turn it back on. It will turn on and go past my motherboard screen to the Windows screen with the loading circle. Unfortunately, it won’t boot beyond that loading circle. I’ve tried the “turn it off three times” to get to recovery mode trick, but when it says that it’s starting Recovery Mode it flickers a window, then immediately goes to a black screen where I can move a mouse but there’s nothing to click. I’ve unplugged all of my USB stuff, I’ve unplugged the power cable, I’ve unplugged and replugged my SSD. Nothing works ATM. I’ve attempted to get to Recovery or Safe mode, but it will only go to my Mobo bios. I have two drives but my Windows OS is on an SSD. So I’m stuck in what I’m assuming is a boot loop but I can’t get to “safe mode” to try anything that I’ve found on YouTube. This, of course, happened right after I spent $225 on games in the Steam Sale. So is there a) any way to get out of this that’s “easy” or b) do I need to reinstall Windows and wipe all of my drives. I can do that (I’m making a USB boot drive right now while I’m at work) but I would certainly rather not if I can get out of it.
