  1. I ended up getting this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/184880365517 I will not know if it works until September.
  2. 15 bucks with shipping is not exactly 5 bucks, and there is no case. Would not having a case be dangerous? I couldn't find any for 5 bucks with a case and wanted to make sure I didn't miss something. Thanks.
  3. Do you have a link for the adapters? DM if not allowed please.
  4. The game itself is not that big, but my clan has SO many custom maps. Currently the game folder is 157gb but,120gb of it is the mod folder. I freed up 300gb in mods last time I cleaned up less than a month ago. I also have GTA5 and a bunch of other games I have installed for when my adult son visits with his PC. I got zero SATA right at the moment. I have a "broken" raid 5 4x320gb hhd drives, a 500gb SSD and a 1TB SSD. I guess the 4 msata to sata raid that works is better than the non working RAID.
  5. Originally, I wanted to run the OS off of it, but I would probably just run some games. Insurgency Sandstorm is my highest demanding\competitive game.
  6. Do you have a link to a cheap card that will make 4 m.2 sata cards into one PCIe 2.0 for cheap? Also will running the 4 m.2 sata in software raid 0 over PCIe be faster than sata with my mobo?
  7. I already have an SSD for boot. I can always use more storage. I play Insurgency Sandstorm on a mudded map and have seen over 300gb in mods. Thanks
  8. I am currently out of SATA ports (I think), but that is interesting for my wife's machine.
  9. Just to be clear, you are saying use a software raid and only use the 4 software raid'ed drives for storage?
  10. Trying to upcycle some m.2 SATA drives that were going to be disposed. I am running an older system. my mobo is dx58so and cpu is w3690. I have an empty PCIe 2.0 slot and I was wondering if I could raid 4 of the m.2 SATA drives on a card plugged into the PCIe 2.0 slot as a boot drive. (it has to be cheap, I am not running this retro build because I am a hipster). If it matters I have a GTX 1080 plugged into my other PCIe 2.0 slot. Not sure if it matters, but my SATA ports only run 2.0. My wife has a machine with DDR4 and NVME and I would really like to see the snappiness on my machine. (I am hoping it is not all from the DDR4). Anyone have any recommendations for a cheap (50 bucks or lower, used is an option) bootable PCIe card that can raid 0 4 m.2 SATA drives for a noticeable performance boost over SATA 2.0? (or have I seen too many Linus videos achieving crazy things?)
  11. Could you imagine the commercials that would talk the people that have no idea to vote against their own interest?
  12. It did not help me, because YouTube stuttered right after a factory reload but I appreciate your response. For us it was the MOBO. We tested all the parts except the MOBO and the SSD. The SSD moved to a new machine with no issues.
  13. I need more guidance, I have not updated a consumer firmware in over 5 years and I do not want to brick my phone. What is PDA vs CSC? Do I need to stay with T-Mobile firmware? (I hate the annoying boot sound). Could I use a stock unbranded firmware? Is it save to assume TMB must stand for T-Mobile? Will I get updates after I clean install the phone? Do I need to worry about upgrade paths? (for example I need to update to 9.x before I update to the latest 10?) Which version should I pick?
  14. I bought a used Note 9 Model name SM-N960U a little over a year ago. Running Android 9 baseband version N960USQU1CSAA. Security patch level January 1,2019. (Still stuck on this version). When I ask it to update (via the settings) the phone states it is up to date. When I tried Samsung's Smart Switch, it states the software is up to date: SAA(TMB) The phone boots to the annoying T-Mobile but I am running on the Verizon partner Total Wireless. I would prefer to keep running Samsung's firmware because I use Samsung Pay. I have 69 gb of my 128 gb of storage free. (nice) I have not tried anything else. When I search for help people are saying take it to "Best Buy" or "Contact your Carrier" both the options are not available to me.
  15. We ended up upgrading the CPU, Memory, and Mobo. We moved PSU, SSD, HHD to the new machine. The some of the memory went to a different machine.
  16. The problem continued. This is the exact instructions he followed. I reworded your instructions so he could follow, if I made a mistake let me know. Uninstall graphic drivers with DDU (see link) . Powered off, Turn off power to power supply. Remove Card from slot. Pull CMOS battery. Hold power button down with computer unplugged and CMOS removed for 30 seconds. Remove HDD and SSD Power Turn on computer. Turn off after beep beep beep. Install card (switched off power) boot into BIOS F12 or Del or F2 Power off. Hook up SSD. Boot. <<< We had to change the drive in the BIOS back to Raid to get Windows to boot >>> Tested with the same micro lag.
  17. Since I had asked we found Latency mon said it was usbport.sys causing a micro stutter every 4 seconds. The issue survived windows 2004 repair. Installing Win 1909. Be nice, the diagnostic test were run before we found out it was the USBport.sys using Latency Mon. The issue continued when we swapped out the GTX1050 for a HD4850. The issue did not follow the GFX card to my daughter's PC. We removed half the ram. We installed the removed ram in the open slots and removed the other half. (ruling out ram, and bad DIMMS). We removed the HHD. The 3 things we did not rule out was the SSD MoBo and power. We ran out of time. The set up is 9gb 3-1gb and 3-2gb of spare DDR3. i7 920 and a dell 435mt mobo. If I had more time I would have installed Win on a HHD. Today: the issue seems to be resolved better. We were fighting it until he left. When he got home he plugged in his computer made no changes and the micro stutter every 4 second stutter has been reduced to 4 in a 3 minute video. Also Latency Mon has dxgkrnl.sys and storport.sys as the high usage. WT Beep? He will still try your instructions. I will follow up either way.
  18. @lulizarti What beta driver did you use? We are also having micro stuttering exactly at 4 seconds. We tried all the normal things. We reloaded Windows 2004 and the issue persisted. The issue did not follow the video card when it was placed in a different machine, one running an older version of Windows. We wiped the machine and installed 1909 and the issue persisted.
