    So it will work. it will just run at a lower clock speed than its rated for?

    I am looking to upgrade the ram in my PC from 8 to 16 gigs, now according to the manual for me motherboard the ram speeds that are supported are 2133-2400 but if i use pc partpickers compatability mode it says that 3000MHz will work. Is this true. My motherboard is a MSI B250i Pro.
