  1. Hi there, I’m looking to get the cheapest possible 1080p 60hz HDMI monitor money can buy. All I’m using it for is a display for my VR PC, which I’ll just be opening steam and then putting on my headset. So it doesn’t need to really be anything fancy, other than supporting 1080p 60hz so I can screen capture at that resolution and frame rate. Bonus points if it’s a small monitor as well! Many 1080p monitors seem to be around 21”, but I’d love one smaller. Or even a portable one that’s 10-12” of those end up being cheaper as well! Issue with those tiny ones is that I found many that either aren’t 1080p or aren’t 60hz.
  2. Hi there, I looked around on these forums and couldn’t find a definitive answer to this question. I have a M2 SSD (this will be the only storage drive on my machine) and an ASUS B550M-A motherboard with two M2 slots. Which one do I use, M2.1 or M2.2? Here’s my exact PC config that lists both the SSD model and the motherboard model if it helps understand what I’m working with and what needs to be powered: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/johnschlemmer/saved/D8ncTW
  3. A VR rig for live streaming beat saber against a green screen. Long story short, I have a $650 budget for a graphics card, which is completely separate from my $500 budget for everything else (including capture card). It also has to be that exact case because of my space requirement. Please feel free to recommend something else! I also don’t even know if that’s the best capture card TBH!
  4. Branching this from another thread I started since my requirements changed pretty dramatically (size, budget) and I’ve already learned a lot from you folks! I made this custom build based on the recommendation of others, and my main concern is that there’s enough space for everything and enough PCIe slots. I’ve never built a Micro ATX build before so I’m not used to being so limited on ports and space, and I’m not sure I’m reading the specs of the motherboard and case correctly... the main thing throwing me off is if the custom-added Elgato capture card will fit and if there’s a leftover port for it. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/johnschlemmer/saved/D8ncTW
  5. Wow that case would fit perfectly! Does this allow me to use a full size graphics card?
  6. Wow this looks great! Is the Radeon graphics card a better option than the gtx 1070? I also measured my space and I have 21”x13”x13” of space. That might end up getting me a little more space than a mini itx. Would that save me money if I can go a bit larger?
  7. Budget (including currency): 1000USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: BeatSaber, LIV Other details Hi! I’m new here and haven’t build a PC in 15+ years, so I imagine things are a bit different now... basically I’m looking to build a VR capable PC that can run BeatSaber without any hiccups. I also want to live stream BeatSaber using LIV, which keys out green screen in real time. It would also be great if I can fit this in a mini ITX size case, since I don’t have much room. LIV minimum requirements state a core i5 with a GTX 1070 and. 8GB ram, and recommended requirements are a core i7 with a GTX 1080. The BeatSaber requirements are a bit less - I’m assuming LIV’s requirements are the ones to go off of since it accounts for running VR alongside of it. BeatSaber is one of the less demanding VR games so hopefully I can get away with minimum here. Budget is 1000 but if I can get away with something less then that’s even better. I’m also not sure what the non-intel non-nvidia equivalent of these requirements are either, so I’m not sure which route is better to go. Lastly, this PC will be used ONLY for streaming BeatSaber. Literally nothing else, so no need to go crazy on hard drive size. Anyway, would really really appreciate the help, maybe with a PCPartsPicker list. Thank you so much!!
