My friend got a new laptop that's having a myriad of issues, but first and foremost the main drive is slam full but every time I look into it there's not enough files taking up enough space to cause it to be full. Granted it is only 250GB, but there's only a handful of files over 10GB while the rest is only MBs and KBs and they aren't even close to being large enough to be an issue. I noticed in there that there's a couple files from his External Hard Drive, but they can't be accessed without the Hard Drive Connected and when it is connected it keeps redirecting me to the Hard Drive's storage despite it being present on the Main Drive. This leads me to assume that when it's disconnected what i'm seeing is a back up of what files the Main Drive could take, but no matter where I looked I couldn't find any settings that would let me enable or disable backing up the main drive. He's also on Windows 11, which I hate so far to be honest, but it seems like there's a lot of setting either outright not present or have been moved around and are a pain to find now. I tried using disk clean up, defragmenting the drive, cleaning out the recycling bin, connecting the external drive and seeing if it was possible to delete those files but it kept redirecting me to the external drive and I REALLY don't want to delete the projects he's working on so he won't get fired, and at this point I'm not sure what else I could do or where I could look for a solution.
