  1. Hmmm.. So I have a 128gb 2.5" SSD just sitting around.. I could use that as a "cache" for my HDD?
  2. So far the stock fan seems ok. I'm not too worried about noise, unless I'm gaming while my wife sleeps, at which point I will figure something out there.
  3. Thanks man! I have a pair of monitor risers coming today that are going to go under the PC for the airflow. Link for reference https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F3FTVQF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Took about 3 hours start to finish (including Windows install). Got POST on first attempt too! That made me proud. Had my 9 and 10 year old sons helping me with the install of pretty much everything in hopes to teach them that it is a process and hoping that they learn to care for it since they had a hand in building it. For those curious about the 500gb SSD and 2tb HDD combo, that came down to a price vs storage amount issue for me. Total after tax and shipping for all pieces was around $2,000 USD.
