  1. Well BIOS update did nothing, I'm now going down the avenue of looking for updated SSD firmware. seeing as the issue is affecting my NVME drive primarily perhaps the solution is there.
  2. hmmmmmm, I was unable to find anything about what's in AGESA ComboV1 1.0.0.6. Do you have a changelog or is firsthand experience?
  3. There is a new version that's just released but it's for adding the XT & improved compatibility for APU's. I'm waiting a few days to see if anything comes up about it resolving issues with memory before I update. There's also those that suggest rolling back to an earlier version of the BIOS.
  4. Kind of, I've not tested the hypothesis yet but I suspect the Boot Drive may be the thing causing issues. If the system shuts down then I have 2 scenario's that occur. Either the system fails to boot at all when I power it up and the CPU & VGA led's on the motherboard light up. Door number 2 is the system posts but my NVME isn't detected. In both scenarios the solution is to unplug the machine and wait for the power to clear on the motherboard. When I get back into the BIOS the settings are reverted to defaults and I can get back into windows. I think it has something to do with powerstates cause I had Loadshedding (the selected blackout of the power in certain areas to ease the load on the national power supply. Yay South Africa.) suddenly last night and the machine powered up fine afterwards. Have disabled sleep, fast startup and fast boot but not found a solution yet.
  5. I recently purchased myself a bunch of parts without doing adequate research. First Desktop I've built for myself in quite some time hence the mistakes. I have a Gigabyte Aorus B450 Elite with a Ryzen 5 1600AF & the 2 sticks of the following Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK8GX4M1D3000C16 I've also got an M.2 NVME drive which isn't on the QVL: SX8200PNP 1tb which probably makes matters worse. I suppose I'm not really asking anything, more just that I'm putting my stupidity on display and if anyone happens to have any advice on getting the system stable at higher than 2133mhz frequency on the RAM then you know thank you. Otherwise feel free to mock me and my terrible decisions.
