  1. Thanks, I'll check if all conections are good and try to test it with another power supply, I've already run a memory test (memory is fine). Temps are also fine and I don't overclock.
  2. Yes, it is a Kernel Power 41 63 error, but from my tests it seems that the hardware is the source of it.
  3. I've been getting this kernel power 41 63 error since Setember. In the start, the pc would shut down, then restart. However, it started to restart without image (it didn't say that there was no connection, the monitor was just black) and it only stopped when I removed the GPU. This worked for 3 weeks (I needed the pc for college and I had neither time nor money to buy a new one), and now the error started again. I've already discarded the possibility that my ssd and hd are the sources of the error (it'll happen if they aren't connected). It'll also happen when connecting the pc to different outlets and with or without a ruler. I have some electronic troubleshooting experience and tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc). What are some tests I can take to see which component is causing this? Because I don't have access to other components that I can use to test one by one.
  4. Yes, it was the W1, my bad. Should I get a new PSU?
  5. For a long time, my pc would randomly restart, either showing nothing in the monitor (though it didn't say that there was no connection, there just wasn't any image) or crashing before windows started (I could spend as much time as I wanted in the BIOS, but if I started windows, it would freeze while loading). In these situations, when I got the pc running after waiting some time and restarting it, the Windows Event Viewer showed an error 41 Kernel-Power 63. The first one (Zotac GTX960) was used for gaming and video editing, but not under a heavy load for much of its use. Temps were also fine. The second one (Gigabyte GTX1060) was used for gaming, but less than the previous one since I didn't have much spare time as before and it wasn't getting over 70ºC while gaming. Last weekend I disconnected the GPU and now it works just fine, with no crashes or anything. This is not the first time this happened, my first GPU (Zotac GTX 960) also had the same problem, with this same pc, after the same 2 year period, and then it died. I bought a Gigabyte GTX1060 6GB Windforce and the same thing happened now. The 1060 fans were working. What could have killed them? Intel i5 4590 | Gigabyte B85M-D3PH | Corsair 8GB 1600Mhz | 120GB Kingston | 500GB Seagate | EVGA 430W
  6. I'll try and post the results here.
  7. In september/2020, my pc started to crash and restart in random moments. This happens while running a game, using photoshop, scrolling reddit, programing, using the files explorer or simply doing nothing, and the time between the restart and the crash is random, it can happen in just a few minutes or 1-2 hours. When I checked Windows Event Viewer, I confirmed that in all of the crashes, a 41 Kernel Power 63 error occurred. And I don't know if it is an important detail, but when it crashes there's a glitch sound, like a small sample of audio that keeps repeating for 1 second and then restarts. But now, sometimes it won't even let me start windows. I can access bios, but it will freeze before the windows loading screen appears. But there are times that it'll run for more than 5 hours without a single crash. The bios is updated, the system is running the last version of windows in a 120GB ssd, while most of my files and games are on a 500GB ssd. PC configuration: I5-4590 | Motherboard B85M-D3PH | RAM 8GB 1600MHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 120GB SSD | 500GB HD | 430W PS
  8. Would reinstalling the OS be a good option?
  9. These problems started this year. I bought the PC in 2015. I'll search, thanks. Thanks, I'll see if it works.
  10. I've been having performance issues with my pc. First, the screen would freeze, then a glitch sound would happen and the thing would restart, only with an all-black screen (it didn't say that there was no connection, only showed a black screen). That stopped happening, because now it freezes, then shows a blue screen with the text 'Clock Watchdog Timeout'. The motherboard BIOS is actualized, so are the NVIDIA drivers. Temps are fine (CPU and GPU around 75ºC when playing GTA V on max settings). I'm not overclocking. I ran the windows memory test, it said that the memory is just fine. I also used CrystalDiskInfo to see if my HDD/SSD was the problem, but the program says they are also good. Windows is also the latest version. Motherboard temps are also fine. Also, when running GTA V, I've noticed that sometimes the CPU/GPU will go down to around 50%, even with good temperatures, getting the FPS from 60 to 30, and will take some time (10-20 seconds) to get to 80/90% usage again. Today, I ran BF4, on higher settings, and it got me to 11 FPS. Ran another memory test, but it shows that everything is fine. The 'Clock Watchdog Timeout' happens when gaming (GTA V, Europa Universallis IV, Euro Truck Simulator 2), using developing applications (Codeblocks, PyCharm), using graphic applications (Photoshop, After Effects), and when just using google. PC config: I5-4590 - Gigabyte GA-B85M-D3PH - Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB Windforce - HyperX 8GB 1600MHz - Kingston 120GB SSD- Seagate 500GB HDD - EVGA 430w
  11. I need to download a windows ISO to test a friend's PC, but the website is blank since yesterday. Is there any way to solve this? Are you experiencing this?
  12. I've been getting low FPS on games that should run fine on my PC, so I used MSIAfterburner to try to identify the problem. Turns out that the GPU and CPU usage is dropping is some cases or don't increase even if it can. Sometimes, I'll get an average of 39 FPS on GTA V, and there are moments when the FPS goes do to 0 the GPU usage also gets on 0%. On the other hand, when I run Battlefield 4, it goes straight up to 92-97%, but I still get bellow 60FPS. I'm using the Geforce Experience settings, with the grass on high. Crusader Kings 2 (A CPU consuming bitch) also gets bellow 60FPS, even though the GPU/CPU usage don't get over 30%, and I even experience it on The Sims 4, Euro Truck 2, Cities Skylines and Total War Attila. Temperatures are fine, when playing GTA V both CPU and GPU stay around 70-76°C. The power consumption settings on windows 10 are to performance, all the Nvidia drivers are the latest version, the OS is installed on the SSD, while the games are on a 500GB HD. I've tried turning V-Sync on and off and didn't work. This are the results I got when playing GTA V. PC Spces: I5-4590 | GTX 1060 6GB Gigabyte OC | Gigabyte B85M-D3PH | 8GB 1600MHz | 120GB SSD | 500GB HD | EVGA 430W
  13. Update: It's on the same page. But I tried on my notebook and it worked, so it seems that it's the pc that's causing this issue.
  14. I just used as an example of the booting scheme, i'm using this version:
