  1. Hello everyone! I just finished my build a few days ago and started testing it. -I have a Ryzen 5 3600 with a Arctic Freezer 34 eSports Duo cooler. -My room ambient is at 28°C(at best)-29.8°C(most of the time) -My case is this one. It is a 3 fan pull in front and one exhaust at the back. -I am using Ryzen balanced power plan and I am measuring temps with Ryzen master and MSI Afterburner(for games). -Fan curve default(20% until 65°C -- 75% until 70°C -- 100% onward) So after a fit of playing around this are the temps that I've got: (I am listing the range of the highest values I've got) -Idle -> 39°C - 50°C(jumps a lot) -Cinebench R20 -> 71°C - 74°C -AIDA64 Extreme (CPU+FPU+Memory+Cache) -> 80°C - 82°C -Prime95 Blend -> 75°C - 80°C after 20 mins(just found out that i should have done small FFTs instead of blend so I will update once I have redone the test) -AC: Odyssey(around 10 minutes of playtime) -> game sits at 70°C and I saw it spike as high as 77°C -Overwatch(around 2 hours playtime) -> game sits in mid to high 60°C and spikes at 70°C What is your opinion about this temps? Should I play with the fan curve? Are this temperatures bad for my CPU?
  2. Yeah that picture is not for my case tho.https://imgur.com/a/2MhuJJB Probably it is just a copy paste they put in for all models. My case dosen't have ways to mount from both sides it seems.
  3. Oh I see. I just went ahead and used regular 6-32 screws and they worked too.

  5. Hello guys! I am building my PC right now and in the case I have found a set of 4 screws that I do not know what they are needed for. https://imgur.com/gallery/EcXKv36 https://imgur.com/gallery/rz28yw3 Any ideas?
  6. Exactly what I heard too. It is said that Ampere will likely destroy the RTX cards in performance(they weren't much to begin with tho), meaning that the prices they have now(inflated too because of the whole corona thing) will drop really low when it comes to resell. That is what scares me. I will look into the 1650 super. Thanks for the reply.
  7. Hello everyone! My current PC setup runs a ASUS Radeon™ R7 240, 2GB DDR3, 128-bit which is, to say the least, really old. I have decided to build myself a new PC. Initially I decided getting a RTX 2070S but almost every video and thread said that it is better to wait for Nvidia's 30XX series. I still kinda need a PC for 1080p gaming. My question to you guys is: Should I get a gtx1660 super for now and upgrade it 1 or 2 years later with one of the newer models(maybe they get super versions by that time too), or just get the 2070 super and sell it later for whatever cards are available at that time? Thanks for the help! This forum has been amazing to say the least when it comes to helping people!
  8. I think I will give the rx 5700xt a go. I am impatient but that is because this is my last summer vacation before I have to go to work(so 2-3 months of staying at home and playing all the titles that I couldnt play untill now). Like I said the red devil's 5700xt is cheaper than any nvidia and from what I can see it beats 2060 super no problem. From my understanding there are still some stuttering issues left but they shouldn't be that much of a problem. Another thing many users say is than you need to undervolt the card as well.
  9. That I agree with. The rog strix just feels way too expensive for a 2060S. I will look a bit more into the rx 5700xt(the price is just great) and see if ppl still have problems with the drivers.(some do, some don't but I want to see a bigger pool). The only thing right now that weights me towards nvidia is their great streaming performance(the encoder is just amazing). But after a lot of research the 5700xt is best price-performance by a landslide(just need to see if everything is fine with them drivers).
  10. Fun fact the MSI GAMING X is more expensive than the ROG STRIX(by a ton) here.
  11. Well I heard that before you update you need to clean up old install and DDU everytime.
  12. Well I heard a lot of good things about them. I looked into the "powercolor radeon rx 5700 xt red devil" which is one of the best 5700xt you can get(great cooling). But I am really scared of the whole driver stuff(I dislike tinkering with the components...I would rather have something that works out of the box). I understand that they did fix their drivers but there are still a number of problems. Another thing that scares me is that lets say they release a new AAA title and I have to wait x months for good drivers or optimization to be able to play it. I've heard that the fps is a bit jumpy too(but I am not sure this is the case anymore)
  13. Hello everyone! I am building a new pc and I have to choose my graphics card. I have always been an nvidia fan(had some really bad experiences in the past with AMD GPUs) and I have decided to get something from the RTX series. Right now I have narrowed my search down to 2 cards that look interesting: - Gainward GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER Phantom GS: http://www.gainward.com/main/vgapro.php?id=1080&lang=en - ASUS GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER ROG STRIX EVO GAMING O8G: https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-RTX2060S-O8G-EVO-GAMING/specifications/ Now I do know that they are different models(the 2070S is a tad more expensive but not by much). The reason why they are so close in price tho is because ASUS is considered better (in my country at least) than many other GPU manufacturers. I never really heard of Gainward before.(not big in my country) The querstion is: Should I go with the 2060S which is worse in performance but is made by ASUS or go with the 2070S made by Gainward? Does any of you guys own any of this 2 cards and can give me an opinion about them? Thanks!
  14. True that the Ryzen will support it. What I am afraid is that the motherboard will not work with it(since it is not listed as a supported RAM freq)
