  1. I'm on Windows 10 and there are so many options for changing your mouse sensitivity. There is the mouse properties, there is the cursor speed, there is the logitech mouse DPI, and then there are your in-game settings. Once you get into a game, are all four of these numbers taken into account? What is the difference between the mouse properties sensitivity and the cursor speed?
  2. Addition: I had previously had the most up-to-date driver software.
  3. Preface: I already solved my issue, but am curious as to what happened. I visited my parents for a week for the holidays and when I returned to my apartment and booted my PC, my second (of two total) monitors would not detect a video signal (Radeon 5700XT). When I tried to open AMD Software to see if I could reset my GPU driver from there, I got this error: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-300 I ended up just uninstalling my driver and reinstalling and my second monitor can get a signal again. For some reason, the second monitor was able to get a video signal for a brief moment after I had uninstalled my driver, and was in the process of downloading the new driver software (had not installed the new software yet). Anyone know what caused these issues? And how come the second monitor was able to get a video signal for a brief moment?
  4. It's connected to the generic router that spectrum gives you. It's not fiber I know, just whatever their basic WiFi is, I think Coaxial.
  5. I haven't tried doing this. I thought you need the router though to convert the modem signal into something your computer can understand?
  6. My router has been acting up for a few months now. Sometimes when I load a website, it gives me the "This site can't be reached" error page. I must refresh the page 3-10 times before it will load. I've found this doesn't happen for big websites like Facebook or YouTube, but it happens for smaller websites like video game guides, etc. I am on a desktop PC connected to the router with Ethernet. My roommate has also experienced this on his laptop connected with WiFi. I've also experienced similar issues in Epic Games Launcher or Steam, where some of those pages won't load and I have to refresh a couple of times. I called my ISP Spectrum to see if they could identify any issues on their end, and they didn't see anything, but they could be wrong. Can anyone help me fix this? Thanks!
  7. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/dsong98/saved/g6m9NG I've tried wired headphones into my PC with a splitter, and bluetooth headphones, but my PC doesn't seem to take any audio input. I've tried websites to test my audio input, and it says there is a mic recognized, but there is no sound input registered. Any ideas for how to fix this?
  8. I was able to get a splitter, but my mic still isn't working. When I test it, website will say they detect a microphone, but they don't get any input. Is it possible I wired my front IO incorrectly?
  9. I'm trying to buy a new mechanical keyboard, and its hard to just go into a store and test which types of switches I like best. I currently have a Romer-G tactile keyboard, and I like how they aren't too loud to type on, and feel pretty smooth and almost linear. I want something that is similar. I found 2 keyboards that I think I've narrowed it down to: HyperX Alloy Elite 2 (MX Red) Corsair K70 MK.2 Low Profile Rapidfire (MX Speed) Any recommendations for which one to get? Or any other keyboards recommendations?
  10. I was wondering if that was a possibility. I am just plugging it into the Front IO headphone jack. When I did this on other PC's it worked, so I wasn't sure why it wasn't working this time. When I tried to plug the headphones into the Front IO microphone jack, I still couldn't find any input in the settings.
  11. I just built a new PC, and I'm having trouble using a microphone on it. When I plug in my apple earphones or bose qc15, I can't use the mics from them, and I can't find the input anywhere in the settings. Do I need to install a driver? System: Windows 10
  12. I have a .5 TB SSD that I have been using. I filled it up with games (mostly Modern Warfare) so I recently got a 2TB Barracuda HDD. Can I just proceed to install programs into the new drive? Do I just create another Programs Files folder into it, and manually select it when installing new games? In general, can you just install files interchangeably between these two drives? I read that this may not be a good idea.
  13. Yes, I saw this! They looked really neat, although they were all sold out
  14. This is my current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/dsong98/saved/#view=g6m9NG - Meshify C - b450 Tomahawk Max - Hyper 212 BE RGB I am looking for some RGB fans to add some spice to my build. I have a b450 Tomahawk, with 2 led strips and the Hyper 212 BE RGB plugged into it, so I can cycle through some colors with those. I'm looking for some cheap extra fans to add, preferably under $30-40. I saw a few on Amazon that are rated pretty well, but was wondering if anyone had recommendations? Questions: Also, if I was to get RGB fans, I think I would need to plug them into a separate RGB control board. Is there any way I could sync this control board up with my current rgb lighting (the 2 strips and hyper212)? My Meshify-C came with 2 stock fans. I am thinking of purchasing a pack of 3 fans, so what would be an optimal arrangement? I was thinking of putting the 2 stock in the back and top, and then the 3 pack of rgb fans in the front. Would I need to make sure that the input and output pressure match each other?
  15. My budget is probably like $50. I am leaning towards the Hyper 212 evo, as it is cheap and has good recommendations. My only hesitation is that some people say it does not come with the AM4 mounting bracket. I am also thinking about adding case fans instead of upgrading the CPU fan. I was thinking of the 2x or 3x Cooler Master MF120R A-RGB.
