  1. Cool, this is what I will probably go for: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/bdfgC6 Should I be concerned about the compatibility notes?
  2. I'm looking to upgrade to 1440p, but according to the article you linked, looks like 6800XT will be a better option for me. I don't care for RTX. What CPU would pair up nicely with it? I'll be playing: Warzone Mw2 went it's out Assassins Creed Fifa Nba Madden Tekken
  3. That makes sense. Could you help me pick a better CPU/GPU combo please? I still want to keep the motherboard simply because of its built-in WiFi.
  4. Currently using a 1080p 60Hz monitor, if I were to upgrade I'd probably get 1440p 165Hz. Can you please recommend a 16GB set of RAM? Intention behind the 3080 was future proofing. Do you know which CPU/GPU combo I should go for?
  5. Currently using a 1080p 60Hz monitor, if I were to upgrade I'd probably get 1440p 165Hz. The budget of £1.5k is just for the PC btw.
  6. Budget (including currency): £1500 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Purely gaming. Mostly mainstream games: Warzone Mw2 went it's out Assassins Creed Fifa Nba Madden Tekken Other details: Want to buy ASAP, but want second or third opinion on the part list I have https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/bq4Gd9 I want it to be aircooled. Must have WiFi. SSD + HDD combo. HDD capacity of 4TB would be nice, if not 3TB. Prefer the PC and its parts to be a light colour. Would be nice if it was white or grey over black, but I want to maximise the budget, so I don't really care much for colour if it means I can be more cost efficient. I also don't care about the looks and design of the case. I also don't care about RGB.
  7. I also saw this one which looked good for my requirements https://www.amazon.co.uk/ABLEWE-Computers-Keyboard-Printer-Monitor/dp/B08NVKHRRT/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=kvm+switch&qid=1629131591&sr=8-3 Do you think my RGB software would still work though?
  8. I've got a Corsair K70 RGB keyboard and Steelseries Rival 650 Wireless mouse. I've got an average gaming laptop. I've also got a custom PC hooked up to a single 1440p 60Hz monitor via HDMI. I want to use the keyboard and mouse for both the PC and the laptop, and use the monitor for my PC in a single monitor setup and for my laptop in a dual monitor setup. How can I do this whilst still being able to use the keyboard and mouse's RGB features and the mouse's wireless capability?
  9. Videocardz.com just listed this rumour on their site, which I think a lot of people saw coming. I am personally waiting for a 3080 Ti. 3080 with 10GB? Nvidia has to be waiting on Big Navi to put a blanket on AMD and try to put it to sleep...
  10. Thank you guys, I've installed programs, drivers, games etc. Will still be gaming on it until I get the new kit sent
  11. I just built a new PC. Booted to windows installation USB and kept on getting BSOD. I removed both RAM modules and kept 1 in the first slot (according to motherboard manufacturer manual) and booted it and it went to Windows 10 setup. Nice. I removed it, inserted the other module and it kept on BSODing. They're going to be returned, but while that is going on, I still want to install all programs, drivers, games and play some games. Will I be heavily bottlenecked by a single stick of 8GB DDR4 RAM?
  12. The reason for the noctua is because pcpartpicker says that the CPU doesnt come with stock cooler I also see this: Note:The ASRock B550 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but the KOLINK ENCLAVE 600 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply does not. This connector is used to supply additional 12V current to the motherboard. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it. is it something i should worry about?
  13. Cool, then my final choice is in cheaping out on the kb&m and using that money to get an aftermarket cooler like a noctua (and some RGB strips lol)
  14. Quick question: Why should I not get a cheaper mouse like the Logitech G203 and get a better hard drive? I'm thinking of picking a WD Black instead. What do you think? I also personally am not feeling the PSU. It only comes with a 3 year warranty and reviews on it are sparse Why did you also not include a aftermarket cooler or any extra case fans?
  15. Mainly to edit 4K 60fps footage on 4K. Footage recorded from my go pro hero 8 or equivalent camera and put together for YouTube in 4k60fps. Photoshop to edit thumbnails etc. No gaming. £1.6k Within 2 weeks Tower, KB&M, monitor. UK N/A Slightly SSD for boot, HDD for storage Wired and WiFi Black Mid-tower with tempered glass side panel. RGB lighting. No No
  16. I just found out I can get the same build but for £30 more I can get a Ryzen 5 3600X RX580 combo on sale? Should I go for it? https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/asus-radeon-arez-dual-rx-580-8gb-oc-graphics-card-box-uk-at-ebay-3493994#comments https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/amd-ryzen-5-3600-processor-from-ebay-anodeandcathode-3493939
  17. Thanks man, I also saw: Corsair 275R Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case has a front panel USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port, but the Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard does not have sufficient USB 3.2 Gen 1 headers. The case USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port will not be usable. Does this mean the case's USB ports will be unusable?

Would I put 2 intake and 1 exhaust? The motherboard has 1 fan header, does that mean I need to buy a fan hub?
  19. Definitely getting rid of the cooler. I went micro ATX, but this build is really going to be used for a very long time (building it for family relative), and I didn't want to bother with the supposed airflow issues with the case I picked etc.
  20. What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better. Learning web dev, doing homework, 1080p 75Hz gaming. If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? I just put this together using PCPartPicker, so I wanted to know what you guys think of my choice of parts. I also really want to shave off some costs here to take it down to £650, but I don't really know what to do.
  21. Thanks guys, I'll keep this backup running until it's finished, and replace it. It's been a good 5 years.
