Since buying my monitor a few weeks ago I have been absolutely loving it but am obviously concerned about the potential for burn in. To try and moderate my concern I would want to go back to the god old method of having a screen saver running when the PC is at idle but have not found anything that truly impresses. So looking for suggestions and ideas, the best I have so far is called Hyperspace and whilst looking very pretty it does not rotate through t he full spectrum being predominantly blue/green with only a little red in there. I am willing to spend a little money but would obviously prefer free options

I recently got a MEG 342C and I am very impressed with it, I have no experience of the Alienware product but I can't imagine them being that dissimilar as they both use the same panel. If your only reason for preferring the Alienware is aesthetics then I would say so long as the price difference is not too big then go that route, it is after all what you will be looking at for quite a while and not liking the packaging isn't going to be great for you. Personally I don't mind the look but I am not you.

I am not bothered with ANC or even passive noise cancelling as a feature, I am not concerned if it is there just not bothered if it isn't. That said if having it is going to fundamentally improve my experience then yeah I want it but my experience so far has been less than favourable. I have seen good things about the Maxwell but as you suggest they are a little over my hoped for price point. Will the PS version work with PC?

Not bothered about wired/wireless as long as wireless is also lagless The area I am looking to step up is for listening to music and I have a preference for base heavy music and want to have a less muddy base whilst not loosing too much top end. If getting lagless audio requires a base station and it will be laggy on portable then that is OK as when mobile I don't watch accompanying video whilst listening The other side of it is I am not sue what questions I should be asking to get where I want to be and whilst reviews have been useful I am finding myself more and more lost at the same time Last point I want to be able to push the volume without distortion, I often will be looking at late night use so want to avoid annoying others whilst still getting the fix I need

I am about to take my first steps into the realm of "low end audiophile" headphones and have been watching reviews and doing my research but I am ending up way more confused than I was with just using "good" junk headphons. What I am looing for: Good base response for music Lagless audio if wireless Budget: £300 max (kinda will creep over but not much)

I am sure this is probably a it's just me issue to an extent but the problem I have is when using my Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro on my PC I cannot get anything close to the quality that I can on my Samsung phone. Mainly it is a lack of bass response in music (I like base heavy sounds, EDM and 70s/80s Rock). Is there anything simple I can look at to balance the sound on my PC in the same or similar way that I can on my phone?

If this is your only concern I would say do it, it can always be disabled in BIOS if your performance is hit. Then an the future as and when that changes for you it will be a simple BIOS toggle and you are back up and running again.

Opinion on "temporary" budget build

Fair enough, in that case I withdraw my earlier comments. Looks pretty good to me -

AMD availability at launch for the 5000 series was terrible but intel from some reports I have seen look to be doing better for the 11th Gen units. With regards to the price it may well not be on par but you may see a small dip in 10th gen prices as AMD parts are now getting into shops and with 11th gen releasing this month that could have an effect. -
Looking at the specs for the z170 chipset I didn't see support for M.2, does your board have this specifically added?

I was thinking of past LGA1200 chipset rather than 11th gen Intel. Perhaps waiting till 11th Gen is on the shelves as from available info it appears there may be more modest than usual but better than AMD stock at launch would be the better option for you. It may well be you can skip the 10400 step and save a few bucks overall. I would caution you though that retailers are not all showing the 11th Gen compatibility so whilst I am sure that it is it may be a BIOS update issue on your purchased board, not an issue if you go 10th gen first but may be if you skip to 11th gen from the start. -

My only concern would be you are upgrading to a final edition of a platform, I would if possible look at timetables for the next gen and look at if it is an option to hold off till that timeframe. -
I used it as I wished to retain much additional data not afforded by a new install and for me I did think it was worth the cost however I am not you so your balance may well be different. A new licence is around $10 - $15 often discounts are available too so it is effectively a $35ish cost for the convenience it offers. It does also have other useful tools included that you may wish to use not offered by a new install which may also be a consideration.
