SO I have been running my Tesla on BOINC for a while with no problems and then one day I decide I don't want to game on the ancient Quadro the pc came with (old Z440) So I bought a modest gtx1650 on deal and since then nope! BOINC will recognize the M40 but ignore it and use the gtx 1650, go figure? The M40 has more than twice the flops so I'm not sure why it would use the 1650. Huge fan of your youtube channel, keep up the good work!
if it helps here's some info about my computer Xeon e5 1650v3, 32Gb Ram, windows 10, z440 with stock FMB1401 motherboard, Current GPU gtx 1650 4gb + M40 24gb, former GPU k620 2gb+M40 24gb All drivers were updated straight from the nvidia website. I even went in to the nvidia control panel to check off the 1650 for physx only, and it still ignores the m40! Is there anyway I can get the M40 to run on BOINC and have a card that can play games? I mean Nvidia really should let Teslas run on their own as they aren't for display or gaming. The board and Teslas allow for SLI, but how does that work? I'm new to the multiple gpu world.
