  1. What can be done to fix that, Ill send a screenshot of the windows verison, ive tried on 2 different headsets, both wired and wireless
  2. Currently trying to fix a pc with audio issues, Audio has worked fine for ages, no issues at all Then out of nowhere, a red "x" appeared next to the speaker icon Its on a intel cpu, radeon gpu tried installing GPU drivers, realtek drivers, both did nothing device manager dosent appear with anything, only the AMD thingo tried different headsets, wired and bluetooth Any suggestions? Windows update? repair? anything Also, checked the HD audio cable, thats fine
  3. Whats my best bet to do, purchase a part myself? Or just take it to a repair shop
  4. So my l390 laptop, is about 3 years old, out of warranty range Recently, its been having bad display problems Sometimes it can happen fast, other times, can take a while, until it randomly happens Ive taken it apart, taken out both display ribbon cables, and reinstalled them, no fix Theres been no recent damage or anything, no drops, nothing It will either, badly flicker either green, or pink occasionally, until i turn it off and back on, or sometimes, it turns to a "grey screen" which is completely black, but with some kind of backlight on, which makes it appear grey. I dont know what else to try, possibly downloading lenovo software, and giving that a go? Any advice? https://imgur.com/JvoRYdf
  5. Appreciate the help one of the error codes were “DRIVER_STATE_POWER_FAILER” there was another one with a similar name, I’ll find that one in a second All we need to do is figure out what it is, then we’ll be right
  6. Im writing this on behalf of my friend, who needed me to help him out. His Gigabyte Sabre 17 laptop has worked fine for years, if anything lasting longer than a PC from the same time, but in recent times its having major issues, like constant game crashing, bluescreening, and commonly, just randomly shutting down, with nothing appearing prior. We've checked the temps, and the laptops been on little stands for a long time, so I don't think its a overheating dust problem. We've tried completely wiping windows, but here's my worry, we did it the windows settings "reset this PC" way, not the physical USB install way, like the way I would've personally done And I'm just wondering if resetting the windows way can still leave behind possibly corrupted files. Anyways, We've also checked numerous times for malware etc, and also have checked storage, updated GPU drivers, Checked windows version. Is there anything we're missing, as many of you would know how hard it is to diagnose a computer when your not physically there, but what else could we try. Thanks
  7. Off the top of my head, maybe about 6-7 hours ago i will say it was a lot worse, before the A key would spaz out, now it’ll most of the time type a all the keys seem to be working, just not in a way they should It’s 11:32 pm for me, I’ll sleep soon and see how it is in the morning
  8. I did give it a wipe with baby wipes they had liquid in them, but not dripping soaking wet more just moist and i dried it all off immediately after
  9. Attempted to give my Lenovo l390s keyboard a quick wipe down turned it on, chaos Pressing buttons like Mute, enables capslock and mute, capslock types “s” number 8 types “]=8” just gibberish tried re installing drivers cleaned under all the keycaps checked language settings reset bios everything I can think of dunno what to do
  10. Disconnect every other drive you have, When this happened to me, it turns out all was wrong was something simple Reset your BIOS to default settings Something that works for me sometimes, is unplugging your drive, leaving it for a bit, and plug it in and try again Even sometimes just leaving the computer off for 30mins can fix it, its how it does for me Hope you can find a fix soon, Drives are a pain in the ass, truely the worst
  11. You mightve had enhance pointer position off, Its some stupid settings to make the cursor move faster then you move your mouse, its some dumb gimic which is bad for gaming and aiming Try turning it off, and see if it feels better
  12. I mightve had this exact problem a few hours ago Does it appear in BOOT order, or almost as if it dosent have windows on it?
  13. Its actually just booted, litearlly left it off for 30 mins and its alive I think it might be my drivers, i knew i needed to update them and was about to before this happened Ill try and keep it alive and not freeze it Thank you, alot
