Hi everyone, recently my cpu overheated and pc shut down and i decided to put a coolermaster watercooler on it and it worked great but after i think the shutdown somehow damaged my old trusty 780ti as it started messing around so i decided to upgrade the graphics card to a 2070 Super, Now this is where it gets interesting....My computer was running great with my i7 3790 but i knew i had about a 25% bottleneck now with new card so i decided to go all out and get new motherboard and cpu and this is where i ran into issues so here is a rundown of my system.
AMD Ryzen 9 3900x
ASUS X570 Strix Gaming F Motherboard
16gb ddr4 3000mhz
GeForce 2070 Super
EVGA 500w Power Supply (Could this be my issue?)
2 x SSD Drives
3 x Sata 3.5 inch
So after i installed all the new components i noticed right away that i am having mouse lag, Updated all drivers, updated bios with no change at all.
I have booted into Linux and it did the same thing, And mouse is super laggy in bios, I know they can be normally but this is really bad.
I am in the final of the virtual pool championships and mouse is a very important part of the game as you use it to stroke cue so having a delay in
the mouse is no good as you have no feel and i am starting to panic over it.
Things i have tried so far:
Linux to rule out windows issue.
Installed another graphics card and made no difference
Tried individual sticks of memory
Tried 3 different makes of mice
I know there is a few things not great in my system but i financed it and don't have the money to buy decent memory etc but i can't see that causing this kind of issue? My thoughts are could it be the PSU causing the lag? I did do a test i found on another site and it said i needed over 600w of power to run the system i have, I have managed to buy a evga 850w PSU but it wont be here until next week but where does it end? I do not have anymore money to keep checking things so i am hoping you wonderful people can help me and i hope you all tell me its my PSU causing the lag lol.
Thanks in advance
Keith
