Problem: Last week I built my first PC (having moved from an iMac) and when my PC is under heavy load (graphics-intensive games) it force restarts. Since, we have replaced the original GPU (PowerColor RX 580) with a different brand (Asus Arez RX 580) with no resolution. We also replaced the original PSU (Thermaltake TR2 600W) with a different PSU (Be Quiet System 9 600W), still with no fix. We have tested (just) RAM stick 1 in motherboard slot 2 and (just) RAM stick 2 in motherboard slot 4 - the latter was stress tested with no issues with the CPU for 15 minutes before loading up a game (Train Sim World 2020), where it force restarted within the first two minutes. Temperatures remain low (around 60 degrees) for both the CPU and GPU during gameplay.
Operating system: Windows 10 Professional 64 bit
Specs: Ryzen 5 1600 AF, Asus Prime B450M-A, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz, Asus Arez RX 580 8GB, Be Quiet System 9 600W, Seagate 2TB HDD, WB 240GB M.2.
Bios Version: 13/11/2019
Software: Force restarts under heavy load in games such as Train Sim World 2020 and F1 2018, but not in less intensive games such as Minecraft.
Error: Kernel-Power (Event ID: 41, Task Category: 63)
We are running out of options. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Thomas
