  1. about 500 CAD for inner hardware(case not included). Want a small case with multiple hard drive space and quiet operation. SSD is my consideration for boot drive. Is SSD not stable enough for a server?
  2. Game: FPS , RPG Application: Chat, Cloud, Service providing App(like Uber, News) I am not sure which one I am going to do yet. I just wanna prepare a head of time.
  3. My server will be used for: store my local files (not for public uses) streaming 1080p video, so I can watch on any of my devices(windows, phone, mac, ipad). handle interactions with 20 clients (through internet) first two and the last one are two different purposes, but I want do all of them in one case. Also, i am looking for a mini ATX case (please no server case). Any Suggestions
  4. I found some videos about how to build a home server. Is that just used for local uses? what cpu should i get? I know i need more cores cause it needs to handle 20ppl (maybe application data transfer). I don't think I need some insane computing power, I just need a cpu which has 8 cores or something.
  5. I am planning to build a server by myself. Please provide some resources (videos, documents) to look at. What i want: a cheap server a server can handle 10 TB local storage (store prof's videos) a server can handle 10 - 30 clients for my upcoming project(game or application) a server can handle one 1080p wireless video playback a motherboard with Ethernet and WiFi maybe a Linux based system potential uses of e-GPU What i know: I know how to build a PC im a cs student know a bit about Linux What I don't know: how to build a server how to setup a server in Linux how to setup local file sharing using WiFi connection (mostly 2 hours videos) how to setup for client-server (game or applications)
  6. i am thinking of buying a new one. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01B72W1VA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1
  7. I have this PSU rn https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01LYRXRDI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I did a GPU driver clean reinstall (driver version 20.5.1) I checked the 12v, its above 12, but sometimes it dropped to 11.95 something. I think the voltage is fine. (maybe i am wrong, i can post the sensor report here if you need) This is my gpu GIGABYTE AORUS Radeon RX 5700 XT 8G Graphics Card, PCIe 4.0, 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6, 2010 MHz Boost Right now i set it to 1150mv core voltage and 1900 Mhz core clock ( i set it to 1200mv, and it triggered the PSU protection once)
  8. I recently brought the new rx 5700 xt. The PC shut down while gaming or doing heavy GPU benchmark. The screen went black and need to turn PSU on and off in order to run windows again. I did some research, the problem caused by PSU protection. So the question now is, am i right?
