  1. Thank you for the suggestions! Discounting any other potential suggestions, I'll probably go with this. I'm rather paranoid so I'll likely buy a fan or two as well since they're rather cheap and won't push me too far out of budget.
  2. Budget (including currency): 1200 US Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: A wide range of games, as well as game development on Unity and web browsing. Other details: My current computer is a laptop, an HP Omen with an i7-7700HQ and GTX 1050 Ti, 1080p all that stuff. This is the build I'm currently looking at buying and building. I'm not really that good at the hardware side of computers so I looked up some builds and had a friend offer advice on the side to come up with it. As this is my first Desktop in a long time, I need the monitor and keyboard. All together this is just below what I set my budget to, but I'm curious if I'm actually building the best I can within my price point or if I've made some mistakes along the way. I'm looking to buy this sometime during the summer before I go back to college,. I'd like to play at 1920x1080 and with at least 60 fps. I've never had a computer that could do a ton more than that on brand new releases, so I'm a bit unsure what the experience at higher fps is like. I'm upgrading because I honestly feel it's time, this computer has served me well for a couple years now but I'm looking to upgrade. It plays decently on most games I play, but struggles with newer or more intense games (it was out of date when I got it, let alone now), and I'd like to be able to make the jump to an actual desktop that, besides playing better than what I have now, is also upgradable in the future so next time I need to upgrade, it won't cost a thousand or so dollars. Any other questions, please ask me, and forgive my relative hardware illiteracy. I've always been more of a software person.
