Thanks! Yeah that was my thought after seeing the number of concurrent users on the backend of a few websites I work with and the number of "users here now" on different subreddits.

So there is an All tab where you can chat with everyone on the extension while it's still growing, but I've had conversations on Google and Youtube as well. The chat has a profanity filter than can be turned on and off, and dark mode as well, and we have spam protections built in so people can't take over the chat window. So forgive me if I'm doing anything wrong, but I'm not a part of the community here, so let me know if I need to change anything about my post. I've been working on a chrome extension over the past few months called Sidewalk.Chat that lets you chat with other people on the same website or page that you are currently on. It has a growing number of users that had doubled in the past 30 days and so I posted it on r/chromeos on Reddit. The post blew up and the user count doubled again and while chatting with people on the extension, a number of people said that posting about it here would be good and that the community might like it.
