  1. are you sure? I just searched for a bit and everywhere said it will be great and there will be no bottleneck. they say the i7-9700k and the RTX 3070 works great together
  2. I am going to be replacing my mobo, psu and gpu. Right now I have- i7-9700k GTX 1060 3GB A cyberpower motherboard made by ASRock (not a good mobo) 2x8GB RAM 600 Watt non certifiied (psu) Be Quiet! Dark Rock TF What I will be changing- Swapping out 1060 to RTX 3070. Swapping out motherboard to a MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon AC. (If you know a better mobo for around the same price point or cheaper let me know) Swapping out PSU to a Corsair RM 750Watt 80+ Gold. (If you know a better PSU for around the sanme price point or cheaper let me know) I want a PSU that was 80+ Gold certified or higher and I want it to be at least 700 Watt for some headroom for future upgrades and overclocking. Open to suggestions I want a good motherboard that has a easy to use bios and good for overclocking. Again if you know another mobo that you would recommend please let me know. I have around £750 to spend. Keep in mind that the RTX 3070 is at least £470 which leaves £280. Thanks
  3. I think I might do that then, do you have any idea when the new series of GPUs come out?

  8. oh yeah and can you also overclock the oc edition GPU any further?
  9. Let's say I got an 2070 Super and I overclocked it would that mean it would be the exact same as the OC edtion of the 2070 Super? For example I overclocked a ASUS Rog Strix GeForce RTX 2070 Super Gaming would it be the exact same as a ASUS Rog Strix GeForce RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC Edition?
  10. What is wrong with the motherboard i would just like to know before i make the switch

My budget is £800 at max I wanted to get a stable 144fps on 1080p on pretty much all games.
  12. also that PSU is not needed i don't think, 750W is way over the amount it actually needs
  13. what if i swapped that SSD to a 500gb one and add a 1 or 2tb hdd i think that would be better i checked and i can save £40 to £50 for swapping the SSD to a 500gb one and i can use that £50 for a 2tb hdd

  15. Can I go into the BIOS of the motherboard even if it doesn't support the CPU that is inside the motherboard?
  16. My friend says he can go up to £800 so i was thinking of maybe just getting a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or 3600X, but on pcpp it says that we might need a BIOS update to support it. what other motherboard would you recommend?
  17. Budget (including currency): £700(can go up to £750) Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (for now) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): this build is going to be for a friend of mine that i will help him build. i can build the pc i just need help picking the parts. for the CPU i have a spare i5-8400 that i can give to him for £135, and for the CPU Cooler i have a Cooler Master i71c that i will give to him for free and i do have a stick of 8gb ddr4 2400mhz ram but i was thinking of just getting him a new set of 2x8gb 2666mhz ram (how much difference is there between 2666mhz and 2400mhz?) and you can leave the peripherals and monitor out. He also wants the "NZXT H510 Matte Black Red" case, and he would like to game on at least a stable 144fps at 1080p.
  18. I can spend around £400 for both of them together but obviously if i don't need to then I won't
  19. I have a i7-9700k with a RTX 2070 super and I was wodering what motherboard and psu to upgrade to, I want to be able to overclock both my i7-9700k and RTX 2070 Super. 20. I have the Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 230V 600W 80+ PSU and also are you saying i could have an overclocked i7-9700k and an overclocked 2070 super and still be able to use this ^^ psu? it's because the recommendation for an 2070 super is 650w so i thought that to be on the safe side i should wait and get a 650w psu
  21. My RAM was capped at 2133mhz but I was able to change it to 2666mhz. and for the motherboard what would you recommend? i have already bought the i7-9700k and i will overclocking it in the future. also would you say that my PSU will be enough for a 2070 super and a i7-9700k or should i wait for a new PSU first?
  22. I have figured out why the fan is not spinning there was something blocking it from spinning. i have already bought the i7-9700k, would you recommend any motherboards? I think I will be overclocking the CPU maybe in the future so I want something that can handle it. I was also thinking of getting a new PSU do you think i should get it before i install my 2070 super, because im not sure a 600w power supply with a 80+ certification is going to be enough for a i7-9700k and 2070 super. i was thinking of getting a 650w 80+ titanium PSU. Thoughts?
