  1. Hey, I'm having a trouble choosing a laptop because of amount of options in my price range. There are many contrasting opinions on the internet and I'm looking for any recommendations on what I should choose or are there any other laptops that I might find interesting. My requirements: Budget: max $1000 (~4000zł, I'm from Poland) Use: watching youtube/netflix, office work, light gaming (lol, poe, indie titles like overcooked), I think something like iris plus from intel, vega 8/10 or nvidia MX cards should suffice. Battery life: I expect at least 5 hours during web browsing/youtube/netflix watching Weight: Would be nice if it's below 2kg (~4.4lbs) so that it's not too heavy to carry around (university) if I have to OS: Windows 10 Screen: At least 15.6'' Keyboard backlight is a must Must be new, no used/refurbs An upgradability would be a nice bonus but not strictly required I found some laptops that seem to be ok: Lenovo IdeaPad S540-15 (i5-10210U, MX250, 8GB RAM, 256GB or 480GB) - 3200zł (~$800) @genexis_x did some tests and the battery life seems to be below average but a lot of people managed to get better battery life I couldn't find one with OS preinstalled so I'd need to buy windows 10 Overall, it seems to be a nice choice HP Pavilion 15 (AMD options with vega 10, intel options with i7-1065G7 and MX250) - 4000zł (~$1000) However, my friend has this laptop and says it overheats and has bad battery life which puts me off it There's also Thinkapad E595 but I don't like that big red dot in the middle of my keyboard so I hope there are other good laptops.
