Thanks for the advice! I don't have another computer with Displayport, but the two laptops I connected via HDMI worked perfectly fine. Also I connected a phone with usb c and it seemed to not have any issues.

Hi there! I just got a new usb c 1440p monitor from Dell. When I connect my MacBook Pro over usb c, dark gray areas show a vertical bar pattern. The bars become wider when setting the aspect ratio to 5:4, which makes me believe the issue does not lie in the panel itself. Also when I'm connected via HDMI and an adapter, the effect is much less visible. The picture below shows the monitor skewing the image to 5:4, because otherwise the camera won't see the bars. If anyone has an idea what's the issue, I would be insanely happy to know! Thanks a lot! Nils
