  1. https://dynaquestpc.com/collections/power-supply This is the selection I have. I live in the Philippines so I can't reliably provide budget as prices here are pretty different. But for reference, I'd maybe spend around P3,500 at max (the be quiet! U9 is at P2,800)
  2. The (cheap) Palit card I'm looking at is recommended at 450 watts according to the specsheet, so it should be fine per your advice Sadly no :^(( but I've been using low-end laptops my entire life and I figured nvidia wouldn't be releasing anything I can afford anytime soon
  3. be quiet! System Power U9, should fit well since I'm targeting a cheap midrange build (unless my judgment is wrong lmao)
  4. Title, basically. Would a 500W PSU be enough for an overclocked 1660 super and overclocked Ryzen 5 3600? Of course, the ability to upgrade would be a bit compromised, but I figure by the time I'd want to upgrade I'd just build an entirely new rig and pass it down to my younger sister.
  5. Looking at it because it's black with no lighting basically. However I do very much like red and will gladly choose the original version if there are any compromises. You make a good point about clock speeds, though. Have only been able to find two videos on it. Temps seem good though. But I really wanna see a tear-down.
  6. Aside from no dual bios and no quick connect fans, is it completely identical to its red counterpart? The red Pulse has a great cooler design and I'm not sure if the black edition compromises any of that to be cheaper.
  7. I figured as much. But the Frostflow X is pretty much priced the same as the good air coolers from where I'm from, so I might as well take it!
  8. Hey all! Have been eyeing the ID-COOLING FrostFlow X 240 and want to know if it's good or not. I'm building my first system with a R3 3300X, which isn't really a hot processor, but I do plan to overclock it to it's limits and I live in a very warm tropical country (28 to 34 degrees daily ambient temperature). Would the FrostFlow X do the job or would I get more mileage with a higher-end AIO or maybe even an equivalent air cooler (e.g. Cooler Master Hyper 212, DeepCool Gammaxx GT, Noctua NH-U9B; all of which are similarly priced to the FrostFlow X)? Thanks!
  9. I'm only really going with a R3 3300X and a 1660 Super, but I live in a tropical country where ambient temps are regularly between 28 and 35 degrees C and can even reach up to 38 degrees C on the hottest of days. Will probably also explore overclocking (might be a bad idea given ambient temps), so I want to give my PC it's best chance to be cool.
  10. Well, dang. Might have to sacrifice a front dust filter for better thermals then :^(((( more regular dusting and cleaning for better performance seems to be a good deal though
  11. Can't say I'm surprised since it only has an array of pinholes for air intake. Still curious if an array of lines are better than an array of pinholes.
  12. Hey all! I'm curious as to how cases with side air vents perform with thermals. I don't expect them to perform as well as full-mesh fronted cases, but I feel as if cases such as the Phanteks P300, NZXT H510, or the Tecware Nexus M are toasters. Would like to be proven wrong though!
  13. haven't bought it yet but there's a review showing readings from CPU-Z and GPU-Z that it is in fact getting detected as an RTX 2060 Super
  14. Aside from install convenience and space-saving, are there any other meaningful differences between a M.2 SATA SSD and a 2.5" SATA SSD? The Samsung 860 EVO comes in both forms and I'm curious if one is "better" than the other.
  15. Budget (including currency): around $860 Country: Philippines Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Ableton Live 10, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, 1080p gaming (high to ultra settings within the ball park of 75 fps) I'm trying to create a versatile, but non-expensive, rig for both gaming and content creation and have been debating if I should emphasize the CPU or the GPU. I've been window shopping and I've come across two combos: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 + GeForce GTX 1660 Super AMD Ryzen 5 3600 + GeForce GTX 1650 Super Both combinations cost the same (give or take about 5 bucks) at stores here in the Philippines. Would game performance suffer in anyway if I go for the 1650 Super? Would content creation be fine on the Ryzen 5 2600? I'm also taking into consideration upgrade paths in the future. Do I go for the better CPU and just upgrade my GPU later or vice versa? Thanks!!
  16. Hey all! I'm building my first PC and of course, a display monitor needs to come with it. I've been looking at monitors and I'm seeing a lot of curved displays, even budget options. I'll definitely be using my first PC for gaming, but it's primary use will be content creation (music production, graphic design, illustrations/art, video creation). I've heard that curved displays are great for immersive and competitive gameplay, but does having one hinder graphic design or illustration in any way?
  17. UPDATE: I got some additional pictures from the seller and the packaging seems pretty legit! It's comes included with mustard but that isn't really much of a concern.
  18. This seems to be a Hong Kong company so it's plausible that they're importing from Hong Kong then rebranding it. Is AXLE known to be a good brand or is it just as obscure as ARSENAL? https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/axle-rtx-2060-super.b7372 someone posted this earlier and it seems to look exactly the same with exactly the same ports.
  19. Oh shoot, you're right! Hahahaha they're pretty off-center!
  20. Apparently, ARSENAL is an in-house brand of Next Technologies (the seller of the card). Their facebook page is fairly unknown and was created in May 2019. Their store has mostly positive user reviews (78% positive) so this is pretty interesting. Currently asking for benchmarks or demos.
  21. Definitely taking this into consideration, especially because the promotional images they have look really professional. Currently contacting the seller to get more information about the card and the brand.
  22. I am! Should be fairly obvious since googling this card returns links from Lazada and Shopee, which are amazon-like Philippines services. Yeah, I'm definitely with you. Can't find ANY website or ANY other cards that they might also make. Really sketch. Oh wow! Thanks for the resource! I'm seeing lots of sketchy brands in the Philippine market and this definitely helps in filtering the good from bad. Thanks!
  23. Hey all! Does anyone have any experience with the ARSENAL brand of GPUs? They seem too look good, but I've been taught to never judge a book by its cover. Can't find any websites with them either so it seems a bit sketch. Here are pictures of their RTX 2060 SUPER.
  24. Like I said, I can't find the 2070 Super anywhere, used or new, from where I'm from :^(((( running my friend's price through a currency converter says it's actually about $440 edit: turns out I actually can find the 2070 Super from where I'm from, but it's still about $200 more expensive.
  25. I've got a friend selling one for about $500!
