I've been using my computer with one stick of 16gb DDR4 @3200mhz G.Skill ram. Today my other, other stick came in. Both have the same CAS Latency, both are DDR4 3200mhz, except this stick is 8gb. I'm new to all this PC tech stuff, but I read that I could use different sticks of ram together, as long as they have the same brand, timing, etc. When I installed the other stick, I went to BIOS and did the normal oc for the ram, but it's still 2166mhz. Disabled XMP, tried to manually set it, same thing. Then I was like eh, whatever. Booted into Windows, checked the about system info, and only 16 out of the 24gb are useable. I was wondering if anyone knew a solution to the frequency, and ram issue?
Thanks
